I use pipes with a tap. I think you can use water containers, like canteens or glass jars. You can use a water reservoir with a pipe to collect rain water. Or if you are by a water vein use a water well.

What I normally do is make a trick Tower outside of the scar. Then I just lure them all to the turret tower.
