I would assume that's to do with any Ammo Boxes that might be within range.
They were added in Gen 2

Ok so it would seem sharks that spawn in caves have a highly trained level of loyalty to the reason they spawn there.
If you knock them out and put food in their inventory they will ignore getting hungry to avoid being tamed so you can't just use them against the other enemies.

Ok so I did a little googling and I think I have a basic understanding of ecological relationships
First, you're absolutely right, symbiosis includes mutualism, commensalism, and parasitism. That was news to me!
I think breeding as a whole would be considered mutualism. But I'm still uneasy about calling an initially parasitic relationship 'mutualistic'. The reaper-host relationship ends in the host dying, and being replaced with a clone (as per ark lore), then a new relationship is started with the clone and the reapers baby. The reaper mama benefits because it's species is carried on, but the survivor is just replaced.
That said, I think two distinct relationships that occur between reapers and survivors: Parasitism and Defensive Mutualism
Parasitism is a relationship in which one organism benefits and the other organism is harmed, but not always killed. (Reaper impregnating host)
Defensive mutualism is when one organism provides protection from predators while the other provides food or shelter. (Reaper defending survivor, survivor providing food/shelter)
But that's just from 10 minutes of googling and 30 minutes if typing this out on my phone, so take it with a grain of salt.

is dododex actually accurate for how many shots you'll need based on how much time you have between shots? it says that if i have 5 seconds between shots it'll take 67 darts, but 10 seconds in between and it'll be 71, but i thought 10 seconds means that you'll use less shots

from what i remember from breeding, the best way is to have 2 parents that are the same level with the exact same stats. a baby with a mutation will be 2 levels higher, and you can just look at the stats to see which one is different

Keep in mind mutation counter adds up so breed a 2/20 with a 3/20 and the baby will be 5/20 so needs 6/20 to get a mutation
It wont tell you which stat its on though
Youll have to know the stats before breeding
It can be a speed mutation which doesnt show and a color on a region that doesn't show on the dino in unlucky cases

But unless you have all mutations done and you’re just combining, you should never breed two dinos that both have more than 0/20 on either of their counters
