Well, it depends on what you need that theri for. I have two. One is leveled in delicate, and the other is leveled opposite. The Delicate one I use for fiber and berries and the like. The other is for meat runs, wood harvesting. things like that.

You can level one theri evenly in both, and it will work fine, but I've just always kept two and leveled them opposite eachother so I had the best of delicate and normal harvesting.

k, are there any modes that compare to the level of chitin/the other stuff that Theris can harvest that approaches the chain saw? IF not, taking harvesting victims off, will help me harvest with the chainsaw? Can that work for Argies too, so I get the most stuff with my chainsaw?

If you want to harvest chitin, the best critters to use are frogs and the sloth. Megatherium.

Well, I go into Ragnarok by the dung beetles and slay, then try not to die having my Argies on neutral as I chainsaw the mantises and whatever else will give me chitin...

Though atm polymer is a bottleneck... so I'll make a fabricator and chemistry bench on the rim of that place to make stuff with org polymer... and see if my base gets broken even if stone...

If you're going to use a chainsaw (and I love them, personally) then you need a quetz with great weight or an argy with great weight. You can always take a mammoth with you too, as they get a weight reduction on wood. harvest with the chainsaw and then have the mammoth, argy or quetz carry it for you. And yes, a stone base is easy to blow up. You need metal. For organic poly, the volcano on Rag or the sand dunes on SE are perfect to eat mantis for organic poly. Just know it spoils quick, so put some preserving salts in the inventory of your dino you use to eat mantis.

Cook organic poly and oil together and you get soap. Can even store it in a dedi box. When you need it, grind it and you get most back.

An industrial grinder to get it back. You still need the fab/chem bench/smithy though for crafting items. The industrial cooker is just a giant cooking pot for kibble/recipes/dyes/soap

I've tried to get giant bees on The Island. I noticed if I use a shot gun, it heals, I have to somehow make flame arrows, and if not, like using a bear to destroy the hive... it won't kill the queen? Argies either kill the queen, or there are alot of hives without queens...

I didn’t use a grinder much prior to gen2. Now I use it constantly because I get so much excess stuff I don’t need. Grind down a lot and can get plenty of resources to stock up and it gives organic poly so I can make soap. RINSE and repeat 😜

Tip : ghillie/bug spray/strong weapon or a giga. Set dino to passives Bite 1-2-3 times, hive breaks, jump off and crouch. Make sure to have green kibble in your hot bar and 1x to tame.

Just roll with it when you lose slotcap of your best BPs on transfer bcs they rollbacked on patch which they didnt even announce. Or just roll with it with multiple lost characters on multiple occasions for no reason at all. Just roll with it when your server gets offlisted and your base decays.
