We accept some bugs in Ark because we know the team is capable and puts a lot of energy into fixing them, but one thing I find insane and that should be rebalanced is the amount of items required to summon the Lost Colony boss (with our current living conditions, working, studying, who has time to farm that absurd amount of items?), the map isn't one of the best, what saved it was (Desmodus, Ossidon, Managar and Veywin) and farming all that stuff ends up "burying" the map for good.

Yes and no the devs don’t want to add large stuff because that puts the servers and game under more pressure to try and load not to mention the people who would abuse that ability to make mega bases and such to block way more land on official servers. Really the whole gate/cellar door thing is a exploit that won’t get fixed because WC knows fixing it would just cause so much backlash that they would probably lose most of their paying player base

Never going to happen the whole reason why bosses need so much is to make it a challenge for players to get to that point it’s also why they will never allow tributes to be uploaded because the servers where tributes can be farmed crazy fast would make grinding pointless it’s also why they finally got around to fixing the dedibox artifact bug where taking artifacts from a dedibox could give a player more then 1 artifact at a time they don’t want to make the game easy for players when it comes to end game stuff. If it wouldn’t cause a heap of backlash I’m sure they would love nothing more then to up the boss requirements to make it even harder for people to farm bosses but they would probably lose a huge number of players if they did so.

Cloud sync should copy your save and download it on a different device as long as you use the same account. Don’t get me wrong I don’t 100% know for sure but as far as I know that should work for single player

Unofficial is more popular than offical and the only way to get people's characters back is to rollback the servers and even then there is only an option to rollback 3 days if your using nitrado anyway

yea for now decay is disabled fully so unless things starve (which shouldnt be really an issue i feed my things like once per month 😄 ) you shouldnt lose anything.
also did you try going back to your server that you transfered from? most chars arent like fully lost but in somewhat of a glitched and bugged state and oftentimes you can download it again

Ok.. so I need an expert when it comes the Palio ark. Been having this issue for awhile and can't seem to fix it. I can't convert EVO saddles to non evo versions, or.. the other way around. I stuck at the moment with a bunch of really good sadles I've found, or blue prints that I can't convert. I COULD some time ago, not sure when but I could. Now I can't. Also If I convert one of my Evo Gigas into a normal version, It won't let me convert it back from Vanilla to Evo later. I tried as an experiment. if you have a computer with sufficient resources you dont use, you can self-host the ark server.
For example I have a homelab server which has sufficient resources for 1-2 maps at once (1 if lost colony, 2 if others). So when I am in my ark phase I use some of the server resources to host a dedicated ark server.

Be aware that outline can have a negative impact on FPS. You'll mainly see it in big bases with lots of critters or areas that are already struggling with performance. It won't affect normal gameplay but it is something you need to keep in mind.

How do you actually "complete" the game? Usually games have a story line that culminates in an end boss, but I don't quite get what the goal of ARK is. Me and my friends typically just load up a game, build some stuff, tame some stuff, and then we eventually get bored. What are you supposed to do?

Bossfights is also a neccitiy For New Maps (On officials) as you wont be able to Transfer Element dust to the maps, Element being the top tier of building resouce and is most sought after it powers the tek tier of items

No, we've never tried. We start out with a plan, and suddenly a game event rolls around, and then shortly after we have like 35 argentavises in different colors trying to breed a fully monocolored bird with max melee or some nonsense like that. we get distracted easily haha

on ASE we did do the spider, but that was on valguero i think? it wasn't a portaled thing, we just rode there on deinos and tore it apart in less than a minute. on ASE deinos were absolutely broken

Here is something to try. Worked for me. If you lost your character during transfer, youre on the other map and tells you to create a new character, exit the game, go back in, and join the last map you transferred out of.

For me I transfered from abberation to the island. The island told me to create a new character. I exit the game reloaded but loaded up aberration. Bam, my character was back. Just dont transfer until fix (ps, ive been able to do this 5 times now, not trying anymore until transfer works again)

I'd always go minimum 20k HP for Alpha Broodmother that spitball attack of hers does a crazy amount of damage. Especially if a tame takes the full barrage. It's that attack combined with her high hp pool that makes her more dangerous than the megapithecus.
