When is this mess gonna end on astreos and general reliability of the game I move one character off a map to bring in another character not realising this issues at the moment so the first character that I moved off and put the cloud actually has been over write without warning and lost it and I’m almost every evening this week where I’ve been working I’ve only had about 2 to 3 hours playtime which my server has been down every day at least for an hour or two. I tried doing these transfers to set myself up elsewhere and now lost the character I’ve asked for a character restoration and now worried if they try to put it back where it disappeared from you’re going to overwrite my main character I mean talk about frustration

restorations go to upload, not a map. the rest is just.. due diligence, dont overwrite your stuff

That is definitely an ideal thing. Do not overwrite stuff but under the circumstances where they’re having transfer issues I didn’t even know it wasn’t where it was supposed which is in the cloud, but yes, I hope they can restore it into cloud unfortunately I couldn’t give them much information but we’ll see what happens

170 damage Stomp on an 8 second cooldown, and with Adrenaline, they can do 3x 127 damage stomps in quick succession it's crazy. They can almost double their normal DPS under Adrenaline too.

Raasclark beat the Alpha King Titan with just 30 normal Acros, granted it was in single player where they for some reason give Extinction bosses and only Extinction bosses a massive nerf

Instead, they keep moving it around every time (no matter which beautiful map you release, the same problems are carried over), and that way you keep milking the game instead of putting time and effort into getting more people to buy it.

It's rare I die so I haven't ran into that one. I play on a small unofficial server with a few friends and family. 10 people total and I've only had to retrieve something from under the mesh once with admin commands since starting in November. There was some big issues on the LC map when it dropped but they have mostly been fixed by this point and are map specific.

I’ve been playing on Xbox X and using mods. Every time I get my base almost finished I’m unable to log in again. It gets all the way to me lying on my bed then black screen and back to the Xbox Home Screen. I remove the mods and it lets me get in but then half of my stuff is gone. That fight has always been that way. Best to use wyverns or combo of ranged dinos like velos and other things. Also believe the bug still exists if you take a flying shoulder pet it bugs and wont land at all. My tribe lost a full rex team back when we ran the boss once Ab was out. When youre on the character creation menu, look at the box that says "load". If you cant find youre character there, then you unfortunately have lost your character.

In that case, if youre on officials, you can submit a "character restoration" request and they may be able to recover it.

If on unofficial, create a new character and contact your server admin and ask them to give you XP, the boss unlocks you've occurred and to help you get your base back.

Very unfortunate. Even without a flying shoulder pet though manticore is a right pain. When my tribe lost its rex team the manticore landed twice and no more. We could not knock it down the rest of the way with what guns we had. Just an exceptionally buggy boss. Wish WC would make it more predictable. Only solution though is wyverns. Most folks use lightning wyverns I believe. If you use a transmitter you'll need a two story pad with the trans in the lower portion. Takes a little monkeying to get the wyverns all in but they melt the boss.

Uploaded 1 more half stack it disappeared but reappeared an hour later and was able to download it normally. It would be really cool if there was a skill for Thralls that allowed you to possess them from a great distance. For example, it would work when you choose a Thrall based on your character's level; your chosen Thrall would appear on your map, and you could press a button to switch to it. This would greatly facilitate PvE, especially if you were using your base Thrall to send crafted items via transmitter without having to travel.

Let's face it, for PvP this would be ridiculous and very difficult to balance. Imagine an infinite supply of cryopods with soakers, or ammunition and armor; it would completely negate the character's weight system.

anyone know why my gpu keeps going up and down when im playing ark? it never stays at a consistent number. when im playing it rapidly goes from 50% to 20 to 9 over and over again. due to this my frames are very very low (20fps). cpu is sitting at around 40-50% usage. any help is appreciated.

A suggestion @proven grove @heavy cedar: I play on PlayStation 5 and my controller has a drift issue. This causes the screen or cursor to move on its own within the game. But my problem is that I play with a keyboard and mouse, and the drift literally makes it impossible to play because the game is constantly switching the control device. I've been playing ARK for years, and what I wanted to suggest and request is the return of the option that Ark Evolved had to use the keyboard and mouse as the primary input device. I think this option should be included in the new game, Ark Ascended.

Yeah. I had a similar experience too. Also had crashes if there were a lot of foundations. Gave up on being able to play ASA on series s.

fullscreen has not existed since windows 7. it just a deeply jank compatibility mode for early 2000s programs, should never use it
