Do not host the server on the same machine you play on unless you want terrible performance. If the server is just for you and a friend that laptop should be decently fine.

The base version 1 instance is free, or it was the last time I checked. But AMP just simplifies the processes a bit for servers. You can of course just do it via Steam cmd

None on the ark. Usually wait a bit try again. Gigas and carchs are ones tthat are rare so f they shw as not on your ark. They either dont normaly spawn or there are none at that time

no, tek binoculars are the only way to see the actual stat points on any wild dino

otherwise you just have to atleast knock it out to see the points

you dont have to tame it, but you have to knock it out atleast and then add those stats into dododex and it will tell you how many points are in each stat

But, I can only do one attack. Then, I have to bring it up back onto my shoulder, then re-equip it back into my hand, then do another single attack. And repeat.

maybe there is a timer on the ability, the fact you are putting it on your shoulder gives it time for the ability to come off cooldown and then you use it again. Have you did the attack and then just waited about 20 seconds and try again?

And default XP scaling makes you fly through early game, but slows down later

okay, then I'm sorry to say that that is currently a known issue. the tg stackmods dev has looked into the issue and posted this on their discord:

🇬🇧 After the initial tests and builds, it looks like a DevKit update is needed to fix the problems. The mod runs without issues in DevKit, but as soon as I build the mod and test it in-game, it stops working or only works partially. I will conduct further tests and leave no stone unturned, but unfortunately, it currently looks like I'll have to wait until Wildcard updates the DevKit. I'm really sorry that the new features aren't better, but I'll keep working on it to release the update ASAP.

I’m still having issues with my drakeling. I can’t figure it out.

When it’s in my hand, it does not continuously melee attack or breathe fire, even when repeatedly clicking both mouse buttons. I’ve also tried holding them down one at a time. No success. I’ve also tried waiting 20-30 seconds to see if there’s some sort of cool-down timer. Still no success.

The only way I can get it to use its attack again is to re-shoulder it, then re-place it in my hand. Then it can attack a single time once more, but no more than once.

Can someone else confirm that this is happening to them as well, please? This is driving me absolutely bonkers. I really hope it’s just a WC glitch, because if it’s not, then I have no idea how to fix it on my end. 😑

The cosmetics version of ckf does not need to be activated in the mod manager, just having it installed will make it appear in the cosmetics menu in game. If you are wishing to use the structure mod version which has a lot more building parts and snapping options vanilla structures don't have, then that version does require enabling via the mod manager or installing on the server.

I know that's a bit confusing and my original plan was to have it all as one mod to fulfil both roles, but there is a point in the upload process where you have to either declare the upload as a mod, or as a cosmetic, and never both. Hence why there are two versions. I don't think wildcard ever expected a modder to want to support both player bases.

So they just took the easy option and made it either or, rather than spending the extra 5 minutes to add a branch condition that checks for a server side installation.

2 ways: either you tame a purlovia and put the tames inside cryopods and inside the purlovias inventory while burried (other players need to find it with the parasaurs ping ability, which is very unlikely) or you just upload the most important ones. But then they only stay 3 days befoe they are deleted.

Tell me, I just got an Oasisaurus. When I went into its inventory, it had resources, which I didn't remove or touch. I mounted it and we flew home. When I got home, the Oasisaurus was bald; it didn't have a single tree or rock on it, and the inventory was empty. I only see the "ride" option, and pressing "f" opens the inventory, but it opens a different inventory and doesn't say anything about resources. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You can always tweak your settings to help. I ended up having to lower most settings a bit for stable 60 fps on my ancient 1200p monitor with my 4080 super. Ark is just terribly optimized.

When we logout and re enter the game, **structures are not rendered **to us.
They are **invisible **but we can still be stopped by them, often getting stuck and bugged since the characters starts to "fly".

What's up with the steam punk skin on single player? I put the skin on a wall and either when I replace it with another skin or remove that skin my wall becomes invisible to the game. I can still see the metal wall, but I'm able to walk through it.

Yeah that’s what happens when you leave your tribe on official. Everything converts to the old tribe ID and you lose ownership permanently. Basically you just donated your entire base to the server. Tough lesson but most people only make that mistake once.

Sooo super quick question and this has been going on for the last few days now where the server I play on with friends it randomly decided to erase every single item ranging from tames to supplies in our vaults and our implants are gone as well - now this issue seems too only be happening on Astraeos not any of our other maps - we have rolled the server back to the last time we had those things back BUT it’ll happen again a day or so later.

Has anyone else have had this issue and found a way to fix it permanently without rolling the server back after a day ?

Hi. I need help understanding why my breeding pair stats are not applying to the baby properly. So I have the best stat distributions from each of them except Weight on the baby, which I verified through the Spyglass mod, but the baby itself doesnt carry the best stats from either parent. To paint the picture:
Father stat dist: 49-47-29-46-45
Mother stat dist: 39-49-46-44-38
Baby stat dist: 49-49-46-44-45
So not sure why, besides the weight, the rest of the stats are also different from the parents. I made sure to pick the highest lvl baby too. Parents are 217, unleveled, and the baby is 234, unleveled.

Yeah i knew its corrupted cause i had to restart my pc everytime i needed to DL some files after verifying them. But i have to do them everytime i transfer servers 😂😂

After verifying files, it wont let my drive download them so i needed to restart the pc, had it done 3x alr. 😂😂

I dunno what yall did with the most recent update but you messed up the game bad, like, it hasnt been this bad since the update months ago with constant rubber banding. It was actually running relatively well a few days ago, now, its horrible.
