depends if you want pvp or pve, ive been playing pvp for a bit. pvp is full of people who abuse the map by "meshing" and just overall cheat. adding onto that, its filled with bugs that will geniunely ruin your entire game. other than that, pvp is also the most addicting thing ive ever played and i'll keep playing it

The mods aren’t to big, only one is over 1GB. But I wasn’t crashing this bad playing in the base yesterday 🥲 they’re mostly tools/base type mods for like structures then a few small Dino mods

Well I spoke to Microsoft and they told me to go to settings network advance settings and clear cache and then go to storage clear local cache removing mods, it worked for a little bit till the patch came out but now the crashes are happening again and nothing I do to trouble shooting it works.

This time I have no mods so I can’t blame the mods this time.

And I see other consoles struggle with similar issues so idk

It’s not supposed to be a titan fighter to begin with, also we are missing imprint buff which the Ossidon has disabled for a reason. Having full access to them would kinda break the game since they’re already off tame better then a Rex in terms of dps potential. That and the current state of them means they’re not fully capable of being boss fighters. They can but without imprint or high grade saddles they’re kinda on the weaker end but as of rn, they have really solid stats! If anything they’re using this as a test run to balance the Ossidon and likely other creatures before lost colony drops

Hay all. Can someone help me understand creature spawns some? I have a spawn blocker mod and am wondering if like stopping several creatures from spawning, would open up more/other creatures to spawn? So if I stopped say Dodos, Dilophosaur, Compies, and Meganeura from spawning, what would that do for other critters spawning?
Nothing, because each critter has it's own spawn numbers and they are not related, so would just be fewer critters overall on the map?
Would give space/numbers for other creatures to spawn but only in the places where those critters are removed from? So might see more Moschops but not more Rex?
Or is there some creature total limit and dropping those would allow all others to spawn more, so might see more Griffins?

Mine imprinted to 17k health, they haven't disabled it yet but you can reduce them to 90% with babify in the megalab and one time imprint them 100%

Blocking or lowering the spawns of certain creatures would make room for other creatures to spawn at the same spots, because then there can be fewer creatures of those on the whole map at the same time, which gives other creatures more room and chances to spawn at the same spots

Wasn't the description on the ossidon it guards the outpost from titan attacks and they were geneticly engineered for titan defence 👀 ... Pretty sure that was the description and still even with imprint and being slightly better than Rexes you tried getting a boss team of them on a ob ? They are way to big to fit as a full boss fighter team so yes the description was titan the basis of that was it description where you getting was never supposed to be for that from ? It was said to ‘fend off’ but it also requires a great many of them to do so. And it was also mentioned there’s a protective barrier at the end of that very statement which explains why titans just don’t enter the region of arat prime.

So no they aren’t supposed to be titan killers, just region guards in general which just so happen to include the titans in that defense

How do I stop freezing when bases get loaded in ?

Pretty loaded question without knowing the base design, or your PC part configuration.

1. Is your RAM in dual channel mode?
2. Do you have a CPU designed for gaming within the last few years?
3. How many base tiles do you have to render?
4. How many dinos do you have outside of a cryopod, which also need rendered?

2 of those things you can adjust in the game, if it's a base with 4000+ tiles, you can't really do anything about that. It's just A LOT to handle at one time for the game itself. Try to reduce the rendering load in a reasonable manner. Don't go decimating your base, but downsize where possible.

Not really much you can do about that, unfortunately. I'd ask those big base builders what their system specs are and if they're encountering similar issues. Only way to get better performance in this case will be downsizing larger bases or just outright avoiding them.

For my server specifically, I've asked people stay within a 3000-4000 tile limit per location and keep them at least 1000m apart. It's helped a lot of people over time because then you're not creating megabases next to megabases.

Ark evolved had the same problem in a terrible way, I notice ascended will do it's best to keep up while rendering with some hitches, but it doesn't outright white screen for 8+ seconds like Evolved used to.

That part is normal, Wildcard needs to optimize base rendering on their end. That's why I keep a smaller base for crafting/resource dumping, and have a separate base just for dino breeding. It's not the best, but it works

Hi all. I just moved to Astraeos full release and found this odd swamp temple entrance at about 28 19 or so. It is blocked off with a rock fall but I think I remember it being an artifact cave when ast was a mod map. Going Ghost mode and through the rock slide, there is a temple with warrior statue and another rock slide behind/aside it. Then I get teleported high on the overhead cliffs. Anyone know what is up with that?

Don't give him more followers for disappointment he keeps posting to X about everything but progress on Astraeos and it's been over a year we paid money for the map which should never have hit Microsoft store unless it was planned to be completed shortly afterwards or when it was completed. Valguero is great! Astraeos is just a copy of Assassin's Creed Odyssey without the NPCs around

Extinction is the map they most abundant, u just need to keep killing things outside of the snow dome, since in extinction they share spawn with others instead of having their own entrie

I believe the one in the swamp on Korinthos has never been a cave or had an artifact. The artifacts are In other caves, I think what’s on astraeos now won’t change, just new parts of the map added

Does anyone know some other things my friend can try to connect to a server? They can connect to The Island but theyre timing out trying to transfer to Rag. No one else is having this issue on the cluster. They've tried verifying, running steam and ark in admin mode, transferring with little to no stuff. They're PC and seem to being having a better time with lag than the rest of us. Were stumped. Are they SOL until their game stops being temperamental or is there anything else we can try to get them in ? Pls and thank you in advance if someone responds

I've tested this, his game is on an HDD and that's why it's happening, once I moved the game back to an SSD, timeouts went away, along with stuttering.

I've got steam library on multiple drives and within the steam settings, you can move software between designated libraries, I've even had a brainfart and moved the game to an external disk connected through USB, good grief, updating game took 2 hours, never again.

They didnt seem to know what I meant and said they've been on other clusters with no issue before. They can get on the one server but cant get into the other one. I think it might just be SOL for now. I haven't run into this particular issue often since ASE where one server is fine but connection issues to another.
