@ruby pine I have a level 52 oviraptor that is giving the egg boost and not collecting the eggs. That level 52 has a pick-up range of about 4-5 foundations. A level 450 will pick up around 30-35 foundations. This is a circluar radius around it. This is also the same for Pegos picking up Gacha crystals. They should have a "show Range" for it.

insufficient video memory for whatever graphics settings/resolution you are using. that was changed prior to ragnarok, so the game wont use more memory than you have. before that it would load stuff, but basically slow to an unplayable crawl in the process

if you set texture quality too high or otherwise run out of memory, the game has to shuffle stuff based on what seems most important to keep loaded

When you can't click menu buttons it's typically b/c your resolution isn't what it appears to be, and the buttons aren't actually in the right spot. hit f11 or change resolution in some other way to fix it temporarily then reset your resolution

I have to afk so juuust in case you were asking me-- there's an issue some PC players are having where they can't click some main menu buttons, usually meaning they can't start an Ark game or change resolution. F11 forces resolution & windows mode change and then the game works, but they do need to reset settings then to the correct resolution.

Might be related to the recent forced settings reset conflicting with actual saved settings so cursor input is seeing a different resolution until it's forcibly changed but that's a guess. Ini change may also help but I haven't tested that.

you can use cvar console commands to mess with graphics, but anything that makes it look better will also make it run worse. main issue on S is the extremely low shared memory

Am I doing something wrong? I put loot crate drop quality to 3.5x on ASA as I've just swapped over to ASA from ASE and I used to use 3.5x on ASE in my singleplayer.
However here it seems op? Or am I just lucky? I got a 141 armor 321 durability hide chestpiece, and then a 172 armor trike saddle... both ascendent.
Usually in ASE 3.5x isn't a big deal, you mostly get trash stuff from loot crates, and if armor they're usually journeyman or mastercraft at most never ascendent(almost).
Should I lower it? what's a good value where it's not too op, and it still gives good/really good items (just so that loot crates are actually worth opening/even farming only for them)

Question about xp multipliers, so a bronto saddle gives you 1848xp base xp, on small tribes it’s 4.5x xp on weekends. Does that mean I get 8316xp on small tribes per brono saddle craft? And how do the xp notes stack? I figure with 4x notes and 2x notes it would be 8x basically but where I’m confusing myself is when I eat a broth of enlightenment it adds 2x basically so does that make it 16x or 10x? Same with golden hesperonis eggs(10% buff) and toilets(33% buff)? If I had all of those on small tribes what is my total xp multiplier?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why whenever a tribemate of mine tries to load into Rag..((Transfer)) they crash/character cant be found? It seems it's only that map.. and its every single time. Is there anything they can do? I feel we've tried everything.

When it comes to transfers and issues like that, there's a hundred different opinions. I've seen everything from "it's an improperly configured cluster ID , mod issues, a corrupted character file, an invalid item in their inventory, the general consensus is to empty inventory prior to transferring, kill the character and respawn, then attempt the transfer. Don't transfer with a packed inventory either, that can cause buffer overflow errors and crashing. Always keep about 5 extra slots open before a transfer.

@proven grove I'm so tired of not being able to unpod dinos where I point them to, specially babies, they're just jumping all around the place as if I was trying to unpod them on top of an Argy . Is there a DLC I can buy to stop this bug??!

I've already bought all of them but I still get random DCs, babies jump around when I unpod them (has become much worse in recent week(s)), wild dinos spawn inside my base and kill dinos/destroy structures, I've reported all bugs, the DC one got deleted by mod because I had already reported in few months ago. How is this game getting worse and more annoying to play the more money I throw at it?

The reason they are unpodding like that is because it was the workaround to avoid the dinos getting meshed when throwing them out, they spawn above the ground and then fall to the ground, as for why they don't simply rez above the spot you are looking at and drop straight down to the location has something to do with their physics code I believe.

I believe there are random hitboxes, one of my theories is that it's the character hitbox somehow getting bloated/not syncing correctly as implanting myself fixes the issue 70% of the time but sometimes only for the next minute or 2. It also sometimes helps to move far, far away and throw way forward but at this moment even that is not working/getting worse over the last couple of weeks.

Could also be the collision boxes, it's hard to tell without seeing underneath the hood, but either way both theories hold water. I've had times I throw out the babies and they are perfectly lined up as well, then 3 rezes later they are going all wonky lol

gamma changes don't work because the server needs to have it enabled

and I just can't deal with it anymore

My display does not offer an option for traditional SDR. While it does have a color profile of Scrgb 99%, it is not 300 nits bright based

base brightness starts off at 551 nits for non HDR mode on my display

HDR mode is 2000 nits on a 2% window of the screen, so you can imagine how blinding it is

It is HDR though, because regardless of display, a higher color bit depth will increase contrast, adding billions and billions of more possible colors

and so the contrast between brights and darks is increased

which leads to the same exact issue

the game is only playable as it was intended if you have a display that can only output 16 million colors

There's an easy fix for this, allow people to change their gamma settings in game, and apply those on every server

It was worse in Evolved because Evolved ran on DX 11 API, and Window's automatic HDR feature kicked in, making the game even more bright

Thank God it doesn't affect Ascended because Ascended runs on DX 12, and auto HDR only works for DX 11

the only way to get the in game gamma settings to work is by playing on an unofficial server

wyverns often ignore friendly fire settings I know poison and lightning can kill you if you dismount at the wrong time.

true aoe ignores rider protection and most soft friendly fire prevention, but it should follow pve and global friendly fire rules

dismounting just puts you inside the aoe, often. and you can even hit yourself while riding under some conditions

yeah once you level up your pyro’s melee you literally never need to use it, I use pyros in cave as a shoulder pet half the time and the flame thrower is so OP the flames being auto pulled to my pyro covers the whole screen half the time & keeps her bar filled lmfao
