But that being said. Performance is a common issue among the community. Maybe there are problems with the game? Like I am not advocating for going ahead and insulting the devs or the mods on the discord. I am just saying that there might be valid criticism (That hopefully will be resolved with the 5.5 update, at least partly)

Quite powerful, I just got a rtx 4070 super and a Ryzen 7 9700x but the experience without dlss is just always bad. I could probably run the game at native medium but if I want to play high or ultra at 1440p I defenitely need upscaling and frame gen.

If you’re playing online then rerendering can fix it but it’s a chance so could take awhile. Singleplayer not even sure if it gets fixed haven’t tried it. Just on unofficial I would see the terminal be there and not be there after flying around.

If you’re somewhat mid game then wasteland works or just fly around until you find one because it doesn’t always happen.

Extinction terminals take anywhere from 5-20 minutes to load in. Just sit by one and do something else for a bit.

If that’s the case then it explains monarky lol, server crapped itself so many times because of how many were online. I started to play singleplayer but never needed to see a terminal so haven’t paid much attention to it.

@rich gate oh it’s definitely getting delayed again. One platform isn’t accepting cert and that’s why they haven’t added a time because they have zero idea when it’ll get accepted. If something happening and they need to fix it then that’ll push it back even more.

Happens every update, I wish wildcard would just take official offline for a bit but release everyone individually so the other platforms can play singleplayer at least.

That actual "crash on exit" noted in changelog 5.5 BETA is present for a couple of SP users on Steam, for the game as well. I'm trying for weeks to nail the culprit, likely to be the main menu. I suspect any of the mods we are using, but since there are also reports on vanilla games, my second guess would be either the Steam overlay and/or the Nvidia overlay. Both are present in my game and I'm relying on their usage heavily(shaders from Nvidia and internet/chat from Steam). I have no way to validate those "vanilla" reports. I also became indifferent quickly to the whole topic finding a workaround using exit in console, even going so far to integrate a dedicated hotkey in my Hotkey mod. I'm still trying to animate users to provide more info and trying to solve the issue, but it's persistent and it's recreatable every single time. No need to point out how inconvenient this "bug" actually is.👍

It's down to the certifications for the **** consoles. And that happens every time. WC should simply stop naming fixed dates. That's precisely why they can't keep them. They should just say "in calendar week 23. We'll submit the patches to MS/Sony on June 2nd, and as soon as that's approved, the release will come"... that would be honest, that would be open. The likelihood of Ragnarok launching on the 18th is extremely low tho. Think about it? We've already got delays on the launch of 5.5, after it finally does launch, chances are high they are going to find significant issues that need to be addressed. This in turn is going to cause the ripple effect since all the maps are going to be affected by 5.5. So then they'll have to fix everything first and then finally launch the Ragnarok map. So the odds are definitely stacked in favor of the map being significantly delayed.

If you set it too low it'll overload the speed that consoles can load stuff in and it tries to load faster than the hardware can handle which is mostly what causes the crash. I singled that out as I use all the same commands only difference is my pool is higher and I don't get crashes on other maps now

They just need to render in. Wait there for a bit, go in and out of render, or try walking "through" the terminal a few times. Sometimes you can still access them even though they're not fully rendered. The terminals in the desert biome and wasteland seem to render faster.

That's why companies have ETA's (estimated) not an actual release date.
