in evolved. cryopods can store dinos. they last 30 days without being inside a cryo fridge.

cryofridges charge cryopods at the same rate it dies (so it takes 30 days from dead to recharge completely.

PvE does not have cryosickness so it can be ignored

if the dino is in the cryopod when it dies then the creature is dead. as long as you let it out before it dies then it doesn't matter.

dinos that don't exist for long enough don't really exist. cryopods is just one of the ways to have it happen. so the game won't properly do the things that happens when dinos die

it can more or less be ignored unless you are playing PvP tho

freemium mods are premium mods that only require you to own it for content like how the DLC work.
I am unsure if maps can use this system at all 🤷 and if they can if any do.

You can get an armor trait with Bob's Tall Tales on Extinction that prevents you from going bellow 30% of your maximum walk speed. You can slow walk around with as much stuff as you can fit in your slot cap.

Basically gives you power-free tek leggings on anything you want.

I've been playing on an unofficial pve server for a few months, and it's been ok until recently the owner announced that the server's gonna shut down by the end of this month so some people decide to quit on the spot and let their bases get demolished and raided. A couple of days ago, they announced that the server will remain functional under a new ownership so people can still play for a while. Now, the people who got raided demanded voting for a huge rollback that can screw up anyone who didn't get raided because they kept playing and didn't quit. the voting is undergoing and so far its in favour of the rollback, and the ones voted for it are the ones who paid the owner real cash which explains they agreed to let people vote in the first place. and they publicly said they want their bases that they abandoned back even if it means others lose their progress. that's completely unfair and it makes me wanna quit but I also want to teach them a lesson not to screw people over like that but I got banned for trying to explain how its unfair to vote when people chose to abandon their bases.

type in JWC to join their server, click on rule-verify, then create profile and type in any random info it doesn't matter, then go to announcement and choose option #3.

its a crappy server so leave after that, I dont recommend it at all. They charge money for some trees and bushes from a free landscapping mod, which I didn't know before.

Although, doed doesn't have any weight reduction on sand, but equus do. So a doed/equus combo is best for sand

and if you're getting sand for clay specifically, then equus also have weight reduction on cactus and clay and can use their saddles as a mortar and pestle. They can harvest cacti too but a chainsaw is probably better for that

Oh yea. The glitches are also unreal. Main reason I’m still on it is the building mechanics. I love the building compared to evolved. But like low-key on console the graphics feel worse and the bugs are worse

The graphics are like super grainy and my one friend has half her HUD cut off. Also if I’m in an Xbox party chat every like 10 seconds I get audio glitches and all I hear is bzzzzzzzzzzz

Also on Xbox half the time the chat just glitches and you can’t type. But the audio glitch alone makes it basically impossible to play with others. And I only get the audio glitch with this game

Rexes are going to have trouble with the Dragon, but as a general rule I usually raise HP to as close to 21,000 as possible without going over and everything else into melee

All I need to do is get to land with the egg

And survive until I get to land

I have definitely done a ton of work to be able to get the dragon even with the terminal mod I have to keep the egg safe without milk

I think I hopefully did pretty good for a beginner level

The terminal grows up the egg without it needing milk. That's all. Also it's from the Ark game itself.

Right but I did that. I went on and tested the egg drops at a 0.01 interval. Did a dino wipe and none of em were dropping eggs. I assume it woulda been instantly since the value was so low. But I used slomo 20 to speed up time and they still didnt lay any. So I tried again by editing the value to a massive random number. Rinse and repeat and they still wouldnt drop eggs quicker than usual.

SP is really odd anyway, but try 0.001 maybe, and you don't want it instant typically because that settings is for wild creatures also. You're more likely to lag out the more eggs are dropping.

What is the point of us getting Astreos if it literally had less content than the mod version. Like it would be so cool if WildCard gave the mini bosses and bosses their own little tlc make overs and have a creature vote with more new creatures for the map. The map is cool but the main feature of the game is the creatures. Adding a map without any new creatures is a huge missed opportunity, like imagine if we got a bunch of new Greek themed creatures and a new real world dino with a cool Greek armor saddle. I think we are getting robbed of content

This is all from my point of view, but it would make sense to release it further down the line when it's more finished and that would also give them time to make us some new absolutely sick creatures and other content

I just see this as a huge missed opportunity

And i really hope someone high up in the WildCard hierarchy sees this because this is something I think should seriously be discussed

so that command is for FSR FG (frame interpolation) it almost* doubles your fps when its on (but increases latency)
in ARK quite a few people have it on by default (1 = on 0 =off)
but the ark devs messed up and so if you just simply enable it it will give you more fps on the fps counter but the game wont look any smoother
so to fix you need to add these commands into the engine.INI file (located in [arks main folder] - shootergame - saved - config - windows)
the "commands":
[/Script/FFXFSR3Settings.FFXFSR3Settings]
r.FidelityFX.FSR3.UseNativeDX12=True
r.FidelityFX.FI.overrideSwapChainDX12=true

and then if you want FG to be on by default everytime you start your game you have to add : r.FidelityFX.FI.enabled=1

On PC you can join the Server directly without the need of using the serverlist. Just open the console in main menu and type "open <ip>:<port>. For me this method worked first try

You want more fun? Put on the back of an Oasissaur. They will deploy but the controller hovers in air. And sometimes the bot loses its mind and starts spinning in place. Move the Oasis and the bot had a good shot at falling through to the ground.

Hello, does anyone play ASA on PC? I started yesterday, and the official servers are super laggy and empty. The modded servers just don’t work, with horrible FPS and bad ping too. RTX 4070 on high settings, and I have to use Lossless Scaling to play somewhat decently.

PSA if you're playing unofficial and have QoL+ (deprecated mod) and are experiencing level cap issues, QoL+ is creating them. Remove that mod and it should fix your character level cap being default of 75 (or higher if you get bob's notes, ascensions, etc)
