Once you are in the bow era, slowly begin to get important tames like pteranodon etc (that you'll use to upgrade to an argentavis later on) and preferably something with decent weight, look around for metal veins (or just check the internet resource maps), farm metal, smelt it and then in smithy craft metal items along with the crossbow

For guns, you need a fabricator, the only weapon you'll need from it is a shotgun, and longneck too if you care about crafting tranq darts (a decent % crossbow is all you'll need though), the rest are a small addition - you'll need cementing paste (chiting farm+stone farm aka argentavis+doedicurus), electronics (either farm it on extinction from tek dinos, or farm sillica pearls+metal, and the rest are easy to get

Open console command and type ghost, console needs to be enabled in game settings. If it's single player you can enable, if it's server you will have to ask the admin

I found a good spot for gigas and carchars. At the very eastern end outside the snow dome there is a large flat area where I've found them most often and another spot further up the cliff from there near some city structures when I've seen them too. There's a cyclical path that loops up and down the hill between the two spots and doesn't take too long. Things are constantly respawning as you go between them

60-100 WITH FG is not really nice (in my opinion). If you FPS is under ... lets say 80 REAL fps i would not use FG at all. The whole game is MUCH smoother without it then.

It runs quite smooth on 4k res. However, when i turn off FSR RG it plummets in frames.

The input latency is better though. FPS is not. Going near bases its like 40-50fps(occasionally 60+fps) vs with fsr framegen consistent 80+.

Or course all this is my experience so far with the game.

it is a misnomer, what ark players colloquially call "rendering" has literally nothing to do with actual rendering. it is all server(host)-side. offline players still wont disable stasis in the area around them, though

the server unfreezes stuff in a radius around each connected player, which can be bigger than the area they can see. some stuff also unfreezes at higher distances

dinos that are being tamed are not frozen with stasis in the normal manner, though. you cant skip taming time that way. you can "starve tame" by letting food drop and feeding something all at once, but it has limited use. mostly for megalosaurs

1 server, with 3 maps? Unless something has changed with the release of ASA, you need 1 server for each map. Depending on the server provider, there will either be a box that says Cluster ID, or a box to add command lines. If it's the latter, add

Both are good, ASE is finished and it's support is gone, ASA is currently supported, has a mod manager integrated, crossplay, free canon maps (unlike ASE) but it's got some issues that are worked on, the only good thing about ASE as of now is that all the maps are released, it's cheaper and has less problems

ASE is sort of like World of Warcraft too as it handles lesser machines more effectively. e.g. dx10, dx11 and not just dx12. I like ASA though for many new things like Bobs and new dinos.

On extinction you can farm element dust from lampposts. The best is claiming and defending element vein nodes. On abberation you can craft it in charge terminals with the required mats. For the other map you need to kill the bosses and loot it as a reward

hey guys hope your all having a good day i was recently planning on starting a small (like 8 players max) ark server on ragnarok or the island on playstation with my irl friends but they weren't down for it, it will be semi frequent playing on weekdays and on alot on weekends if people want i can leave it on for people to play when i am busy though. people of any experience of the game are allowed as it will be a chill atmosphere focused mainly on fun rather than progress doing stuff like base building and taming cool dinos rather than spending 12 hours doing boring pvp stuff. i am 18 years old and i dont mind younger players as long as you are relatively mature and not annoying. i want to try to have this as a proper community style ark server so will try to be on whenever you guys are and be on a call on discord or playstation party depending on whats easier for you guys. due to the nature of the server dont come in expecting big pvp we might have some little battles for fun and i will have friendly fire on for occasional goofing around but nothing big. if you are interested let me know in dms and ill talk to you when ive found a group of people i think will all be a good fit ill add us all to a discord server where we can introduce ourselves and break the ice. anyone is welcome although i would prefer it if you can speak to everyone else and at the very least know english so you can type. i look forward to meeting some hopefully future friends from this thanks for reading my giant paragraph of a post :)

if running a game on higher settings is crashing your hardware, you have broken or severely misconfigured hardware. higher settings put more load on components, but worknig components should handle maximum load indefinitely. stress-testing individual components is a good start to find the issue
