The ocean really isn’t that scary aside from the eels. If you get attacked by a mosa or plesi you can just swim to the surface and they’ll leave you alone as those deep sea creatures can only follow you to a certain depth and then they’ll turn around

I mean, it's one of 4 creatures that have "weird" rules about mating.

Magmasaurs need to be inflicted with the on-fire debuff, of which they are immune to, for the entire duration of the mating. (Lava is the quickest and easiest, but you CAN use a flamethrower, oil jars, or a fire wyvern to keep them toasty)

The Griffins just don't have a gender at all, so they can't mate.

And the Maewings are Hermaphrodites, so they fertilize each other's eggs during mating.

yeah, something is wrong on your hardware's end. intense swap thrashing, maybe

if the game is actually on a SSD, level streaming is basically instant and unnoticeable. i used to go about mach 2 across ragnarok in seconds on a boosted rock drake, and would never lag doing that. people with slow drives would crash instantly

loading stuff rapidly will cause a huge spike in RAM and VRAM usage, though

ASA is much heavier, but ASE should really not have that issue unless it is on a hard drive, or severe memory shortage. worth monitoring everything to check how fast the game can read data, and memory use/swapping

if VRAM is 100%, or RAM over about 90%, you are going to have freezes

depends on what you are trying to do. parasaur is good for carrying cargo, cant really fight much, or jump. moschops is really good at harvesting meat/plants and related things. both pretty easy tames

best to avoid combat as much as possible early on

i find that having good ghillie helps a lot in avoiding the stunning birbs/cats, the rest you should be able to kill if need be.
have your dino on neutral, so that when you do get stunned, it helps you

p2w dinos are arguable - they have reenabled normal cryos back, so you can take any dino you want into caves. Pyromanes have recently been nerfed, oasiasaur, well you can ask someone else to revive a dino for you - i don't find a reason to do it tho cuz u should always have a perfect pair to breed a new dino back (unless the specified dino is an event one, for example zombie wyvern or whatever, then the oasiasaur is pretty useful), cosmo is only good on aberration, the robot can barely do anything due to AI issues I believe, I didn't find an use for the zeppelin, and soon to be added armadoggo+big acid spewing brontosaurus no idea what they do.

Just from experience myself with friends running servers on a 2nd pc. If they have mods, they might need to check if something has an update on their end. Sometimes if something needs updating it can cause issues. Other than that see if they are able to restart it. Sometimes giving it a restart every so often helps to refresh things and keep it running smooth.

Steam and Epic are crossplay options with any server for Evolved from Gportal or the actual Nitrado website, not the Microsoft store app.

Both Microsoft versions are crossplay, but the only way to rent a server for just Win10, is to still download the Nitrado app from the Microsoft store and rent it from there. You do not have to enable crossplay with the Xbox version.

You're actually not able to play with mods downloaded from the site, it's weird. Try search dinodepot in all one word, or dino, and scroll through and see if it pulls up. It is really annoying. The word "depot" alone doesn't show it for me.

after playing ark evolved agian, ark acended is SOOOO much more optimized, i barly get 30 fps on max with a 7800xt in ark evolved compaired to the 60+ i get on asa with max settings
