you can host on literally any cloud vps or dedi provider. now that i think about it, i think i have seen many people explain this to you before or give you instructions, so i will leave you to your weird nitrado hate-relationship

Nitrado also has FTP so if you do find the means to self-host, you can transfer your files over. You should be using FTP anyway to locally backup your saves, and especially so if you have any mod maps.

Nitrado (and Apex, technically) is the only place to legally rent servers. You can rent hardware and switch to that whenever you want.

Nitrado has been very stable for awhile now. ONly have issues when new large game updates come out and even then its ony an issue cause we are impatient sometimes. The updates always go through, judt takes awhile sometimes. Nitrado does charge too much but im happy with the service, now. A year ago I was singing a much different tune

I also dont really think is Nitrado thats bad. Too expensive? yes. Ark seems to have issues like no other game and since we using Nitrado, we blame most issues on them. But they run a lot of other games without having the server issues we get on Ark. Their customer service is on point and they fix server issues with quickness, most times. Oh, Ark, our love. Its a love/hate relationship. We hate that we are in love with the game

Assuming you take your character over and don’t have to level again, I think you’ll find the early game goes by a lot quicker

especially since you’re more experienced now too

the CPU and RAM are fine, yes. assuming the RAM is not something awful like one stick of 4800 CAS36. and you want at least a half TB SSD space free for the future, although some of that is padding for steam patching

could try it with that GPU and see if it runs playably, then refund before 2 hours if it wont. that is why steam allows that

people play it on worse, but it tends to be a bit of a mess

I don't know whether it is the most efficient, or even A efficient way to farm black pearls, but I always used to fly around and farm black pearls by killing death worms with a lightning wyvern. This always took ages because wyverns loose health rather quick.

However with the Carcha you just take a couple nibbles off a death worm and the Carcha's health doesn't give a damn since...it's a Carcha 😄

I think I'm gonna go ahead and tame the lvl 150 anky in the snow biome. It's too good of an opportunity to pass up. I have the kibble, a cryopod and the means to build a pen. All I gotta do is lift it with my argy and drop it into the pen

After that's done I can continue on my mission to massacre some penguins for polymer

That lvl 150 argy I talked about that's also in the snow biome prob has to wait because I need superior kibble and superior kibble needs sap, and sap means I gotta go to redwoods, and entering redwoods means I need meds as someone recommended, and those meds are much easier to make with an industrial cooker which needs polymer, which ultimately leads me back to the penguins

Do i need to put them in my ini file for dynamic config (where this file is activated by the options CustomDynamicConfigUrl= in GameUserSettings.ini and by the option -UseDynamicConfig for the server launcher.bat) or at the end of the GameUserSettings.ini ? Do i need to put option -ActiveEventColors=custom in the launcher.bat to make it work? anyone have some more accurate informations about all of this compare to the informations given by the patchnote? Also, will my newly tamed lvl 135 (now 202 I think) anky outperform my level 50 something (now 113) anky immediately? The newly tamed one has 450% in melee whereas the previous one has 1000%

a metal node has x-y metal in it, and you get a average of that, but if you have like 1200ish melee, i think you get consistent closer to the y average, so you get a bit more over the long run
and weight is usefull so you can carry the metal / if you carry it with a agry it keeps harvesting on it's own longer

I'll add that my settings are altered so that taming anything is a whole lot quicker than normal and from my experiences so far, most (or all) the high level dinos I've tamed so far only required 2 kibble and tamed in a matter of minutes

I wouldn't say it's worth the money, it's overpriced for what it is. It's kind of necessary though because it has the gene traits which are a real game changer when it comes to breeding. Cosmetics stuff is cool but you don't really need it. The gene traits on the other hand are total p2w and if you don't buy access you get left behind. You pretty much have to buy it to get full function from the game.

I bought ASE piece by piece, 45 for ASA, 30 for bobs, 5 for each of the fantastic tames and I'm still less than ASE with QOL we been wanting and thousands of hours of enjoyment. I agree, bobs changes alot about the game and if you don't buy it, you get left behind. I totally disagree it's worth the money though. We had tons of great mods on ASE that brought qol to the game that weren't locked behind a paywall and the ASE dlc was much more bang for your buck. You could get a whole expansion with multiple maps on ASE for less than the price of bobs.

You can't use babies to level up fast in PvE. You can kill them with wyvern breath or other friendly fire attacks, but you won't gain levels.
