The cooler of two options would be to tame mosas and put them on aggressive below the zoo but creatures still drown sometimes so its better if I just keep the zoo loaded

I don't know what people say performance wise about lost Island because my Xbox was able to run them all just fine. But lost Island is not A very easy map in my experience, definitely not hard but compared to the island it's not a very beginner friendly place

Fence foundations seem to act like partial blockages that the AI pathing will overcome after a bit of confusion. The Plant Y traps seem to attract wild creatures on idle walk but inconsistently. Sort of the opposite behavior.

Dillos are an extremely early game Tang that are generally abandoned the moment you get tranqueros because they become practically worthless

What you should do is go find some Crystal and then make yourself a spyglass so that you can check its level from a distance

What I've recommended to many new players is hilariously dramatically boosting breeding so that it is practical to breed dinos for new or casual players

And I will always recommend do these people playing single player or non-dedicated depending on if they're playing by themselves or with friends

an important note is there are two kinds of levels in ark. the levels a dino starts with are different from the ones you add with experience points

a higher base level is always going to be better, adding tame levels wont close the gap. actually gets wider with more tame levels

The simplest way to remember it, is wild levels add a flat value, and tamed levels add a % based on the base creature value + wild level values

Hmm...new bug with carts. If you put the skeleton trike skin on and reload the game a cart turns 90 degrees and appears to be pulled but moves sideways while the traces of the halter just go off into nothing to the right of the whole mess.

okay, tried with a 'dead' cart on another trike. Was able to drag the empty sideways cart through a river. It even picked up a couple trillobites and threw them around.

I don't know if this is just a graphical, single player or just client bug. But my carts being drawn by skeleton trikes are sideways on load until I reset the skin.

The only real problems I've had is sometimes you have to manually go in and install the mods to get someone to be able to join. But this is relatively rare and I don't have any large mods so it isn't that big of a problem

ASE on release was only level 30 dinos? Then over the next few months they upped the difficulty a little each time (level 60, level 90, level 120, level 150 etc)
So did they design taming initially around level 30 dinos? Instead of the 'yeah it takes 12 hours to tame this level 120 w/o kibble'?

And you cannot spawn at the almost-only herbivore areas anymore on Ark Survival Ascendant like you could on Evolved. Plus, Yi Ling make the old NW run impossible for a new character.

Of course, Pryomane spawns leak into the Green Zone from blue now. But without knowing what spawned on your map when you start, Aberration can go from hard to impossible start for many areas.

Xiph are the most annoying. Basically demonic giant piranha. Terror causing? Angry Ferox, Bloodstalkers, Noglins, Tuso are all things that require careful handling and generally are a player death even to a vet if fought in person.

All of these can cause the player to lose control and then you just have to sit there while you watch your player die. Generally while your gear is shreded to worthlessness.

Using RPGs to tame a Titanosaur is a really bad idea. It can be done, but the chance you just outright kill the Titano is pretty high. Also, takes a literal shedload of ammo.

Rocket launchers have low durability. So you'llneed reasonable mid-game production.

The Dreadmare is a good overall tame, it can black hole creatures (basically a cryopod) up to carcha's. Its a glider aswell, the glide works like a griffin glide. It has good melee attacks and its a good flyer. So its worth it 😉

For example settings to adjust wild Dino’s resistance/torpor and then separate settings to adjust tamed Dino’s. Why did Ascended get away from that and now all Dino’s fall under the same settings??? Personally, I would try to find one with better health because you'd be looking for at least 20k health to go into the battle, however, finding one with better damage is highly unlikely so you're probably good on that front (to be clear, you could definitely make this work. It's just you could also strive for better)

You want to pump melee mostly. With theriz any points you put into melee you can pick wether you want to level “delicate harvesting” or “power harvesting” delicate will harvest more fibre, hide, rare flowers etc and power will get more wood, meat etc.

Long story short, I figured out the hard way what jellyfish do when you swim into them with a sarco. Unintentionally (or intentionally) swam into it, got attacked by megalodons which didn't allow me to escape from the jellyfish, killed me and my sarco and now my stuff is stuck at the bottom of the ocean

If you trap the spino there is literally no difference apart from the rifle being more expensive

Setting up the traps is gonna take some time and so far I'm worried isn't guaranteed to work. My first therizinosaur clipped through the trap twice forcing me to hide in the trap itself and shoot tranq arrows at the therizinosaur outside the trap

So do it your way. You can also harvest chitin and oil from the trilobytes, if you don't see any water dinos that can hurt you dive if you see something that is similar to oil coming out of a rock and try to harves the rocks with a metal pickaxe you will get a decent amount of oil, you can also tame a dolphin but watch out for electros or cnidarias

Try to lure the mantas to your theri on the beach and then kill them, also leave render each time you feed the basilo, taming 1 will be very annoying but it will pay

I always build a water pen and leave my basilo inside or pod it to avoid it from getting killed, alpha megalodons can kill it so beware

I think the hard part will be knocking out the basilo. Taming shouldn't be hard since all dinos hunger deplete faster. I forgot which setting it was but I must've made it so that it takes more than the usual to knock out dinos. Not intentional but I don't mind the added challenge

Nope, it's a passive tame

You will need to kite the mantas to you with another basi but because you don't have it, you can do as I did, I tamed any megalodon then I would attract them to the shore and killed them with help of other dinos, then I would return to the basilo until I tamed it, after you tame one it will be a game changer to you. You can dm me about anything regarding ocean gaming because I have tamed everything without any issues

They usually are because they gravitate around the basilo and will imediattely attack you as soon as you are in range distance

What I did first was to secure my protection by getting some rexes early on and theris, also the best berry gatherers, only after I got my egg farm I went to the seas using kibble but if you see a low level basilo it can be that game changer, you can use raw prime meat but it's in forth place in terms of success taming, the top is exceptional kibble, then raw mutton, lamb chops

I forgot about the argentavis another dino that is a game changer

Yeah I found those, among many other dinos engaged in some kinda battle royale not too far from the snowy region

I was venturing close to the snow biome on my sarco when I came across some kinda battle between Scorpions and argys tryna hunt lystros and moschops but they're all huddled together

i think it comes from its p2w content then on top of that it got nerfed from its original OPness which is fair to nerf something OP but its that people paid for it at its OP state, its kind of like buying a Pizza and it comes missing a couple slices

its different if its maps locked behind payment because its like dlc expansions to a game but to lock specific items/tames behind it is like current games that are p2w micro transactions that people hate because its essentially a money dump that you have to constantly invest in to maintain a meta, and thats not considering alot of ppl already paid for the game and all the dlcs from ase then paid for asa... a better route would just have been to put the bobs content and tames behind new maps but allowed all characters to use items tames so the ppl who get the new content have the advantage of farming the new stuff and trading off to ppl who dont while the ppl who dont have the financial means to get it can still farm in game to trade and get it from others and maintain a meta and stick around 🤷‍♂️

the point of bob's is new content on the old maps. otherwise there would be a long time with basically no new content just old ASE stuff. not to mention maps are gonna take a lot longer and more work.
its still DLC despite not being new maps. buying a different game doesn't really change this one lol

No, they like purlovia have to hit your character. Rexes are too tall. The kapro has to be high enough to do that and the swamp is pretty flat. It would have to be up high on a hill and pissed at you.

Microraptors can fly and will still face smack you off your Rex saddle.
