How to Tame Dreadmare

1. Find a Dreadmare.

-Spawns At NIGHT-

Center: Unknown, trying to find it.

Scorched: Near Wyvern Scar.

2. Kill the Dreadmare. Go to its inventory, and pick up its alter.

3. Throw your giga out or Have a giga with you, unless you are carrying 1 of every tribute, you need a giga.

4. Place the alter

5. Ritual Item:

After placing the alter, it will will ask you for a ritual item such as a boss tribute...

If You HAVE The Ritual Item: Simply offer it to the alter and kill the Dreadmare that spawns with your Giga by holding the back button and backing up. This will cause the Dreadmare to get stuck because it is flying circles around you. You may also shotgun it.

You do not need to read the rest, and Skip to Step 6.

If You DO NOT Have The Ritual Item: You will notice there is a 5 minute timer on the alter. After 5 Minutes, if you do not have the item, the alter will spawn the creature and Dreadmare for you.

With your Giga, KILL both the Dreadmare and the creature it spawns in by holding the back button and backing up. This will cause the Dreadmare to get stuck because it is flying circles around you. You may also shotgun it.

The ritual creature that spawns will be the same level as the Dreadmare you are attempting to tame/killed earlier.

For example: You killed a level 50 Dreadmare, and are trying to tame a level 50 Dreadmare, the ritual creature it spawns in, will ALSO be level 50.

6: After you kill the Dreadmare again, go up to the alter. You may need to repeat step number 5 multiple times depending on the level Dreadmare you are attempting to tame.

7: Repeat 5 Until Tamed and bring that sucker home.

Baby Consumes: Meat

Alright so the dreadmare does look pretty cool. Kinda like an Evil Pegasus from krakens better dinos with a lot more abilities. Seems like the animation of it running and walking is unique compared to Equus (unlike the pyromane which is a reskin of Shadowmane with fire abilities). I'd say an improvement from the last fantastic tame.

How to Tame Dreadmare

1. Find a Dreadmare.

-Spawns At NIGHT-

Center: Unknown, trying to find it.

Scorched: Near Wyvern Scar.

2. Kill the Dreadmare. Go to its inventory, and pick up its alter.

3. Throw your giga out or Have a giga with you, unless you are carrying 1 of every tribute, you need a giga.

4. Place the alter

5. Ritual Item:

After placing the alter, it will will ask you for a ritual item such as a boss tribute...

If You HAVE The Ritual Item: Simply offer it to the alter and kill the Dreadmare that spawns with your Giga by holding the back button and backing up. This will cause the Dreadmare to get stuck because it is flying circles around you. You may also shotgun it.

You do not need to read the rest, and Skip to Step 6.

If You DO NOT Have The Ritual Item: You will notice there is a 5 minute timer on the alter. After 5 Minutes, if you do not have the item, the alter will spawn the creature and Dreadmare for you.

With your Giga, KILL both the Dreadmare and the creature it spawns in by holding the back button and backing up. This will cause the Dreadmare to get stuck because it is flying circles around you. You may also shotgun it.

The ritual creature that spawns will be the same level as the Dreadmare you are attempting to tame/killed earlier.

For example: You killed a level 50 Dreadmare, and are trying to tame a level 50 Dreadmare, the ritual creature it spawns in, will ALSO be level 50.

6: After you kill the Dreadmare again, go up to the alter. You may need to repeat step number 5 multiple times depending on the level Dreadmare you are attempting to tame.

7: Repeat 5 Until Tamed and bring that sucker home.

The events are mods because that is how events are done by Wildcard in ASA. It is a basic design choice, just like how Pyromanes, Oasiaur and the new Dreadmare are default spawns in game. You have to create special ini file commands to block those creatures from spawning.

It's a Steam thing, not a generic Developer thing. And going to have to shake out in the courts over time. But that can of worms is now open and impacts Ark directly because they 'sell' things during Early Access which might not make it into the final game.

You are correct.... cause you can't fix everything with a community that will abuse everything and exploit everything they can. The reason your anky teleports to your krav and it gets stuck is cause people were using it to grief through walls and terrain etc so you have to have that creature go somewhere not the claw and if you make it go anywhere other than the dead center of the creature they will just reposition so the system still puts the creature where they wanted inside your base or under mesh or what have you. If you have a better idea of how to prevent that please share and even better write the coding for it and send it in.

The problem with that is the Karkinos doesn't have a proper hitbox for something that holds tames out in front of it. So held creatures gain the ability to be pushed into the mesh or through walls. Still a problem with the drop-at-center behavior that screws up the Karkinos by causing overlapping ridden dino hitboxes.

Now, if that hitbox is possible to construct is a different matter. But it was basically a meshing tool on release of Aberration.

However if you were to modify the hit box in any other way than some sort of arch you can't clear that collision without enabling the crab to walk over and mover over most items and creature unimpeded.... which i would love. Like its a crab with ground clearance. Let it clear things on the ground. But I don't thing the server can register entity positions other than with a box or sphere. Again you are correct these are problems but it's the lesser of 2 evils.

As a bonus of the crab's hitbox not fitting the job it does, when you walk under a low ceiling the Karkinos will go into a 'hands up' mode that tips you almost a full 90-degrees up while walking.

They honestly did (mostly) and they is evident by the same bugs showing up cause it is easier to remember or figure out how to write a system or mechanic than it is to foresee and figure out how to fix bugs so the likelihood of them writing the game to do the same and not building in a bug fix for a system that took dev time to figure out a fix is extremely likely. If they were just translating it to the new language or copy pasting it then that code fix would have been including UNLESS the fix was in a later base of it and they are only copying it while following the progression time line such as only copying and comparing major versions. But that's extremely unlikely as it would lead to a tonnnnnnn of conflicts.

Cosmetics tab is messed up, managed to find my chibis and skins after some Messing and transfer to vault, but can't see in inventory, this is why sp many can't transfer as they can't see items.

its possible that your character profile is still in your files for transfering. you should be able to find you profile file and copy and paste it in to the the file where your arkserver data is stored. ive had to do this a couple of times on my dedicated server before i clustered them.

you can also just make a new character, bump it up to the right level and force it into your tribe since you are on single player

They look blanked out but you drag and drop it to a compatible location. If you have a Dino skin for example you need to open that Dino’s inventory then drag the skin onto the costume slot.

If it’s a costume you need that part in inventory to skin it. The skins are no longer items like before
