I had a slightly different experience. Saw a 150 mega that ran off the cliff 😆 down to the red. Dove after it with the yi to see if it landed somewhere tameable. Half way down I get tp'd to the surface, right in the middle of the map. Lucky it was a 50% night so I had just enough time to make my way to the nearest ob area. But if I hadn't been on a yi it would've been impossible.

We haven't been able to get them in a like 2 weeks when aberration first started we were able to get cave drops but we haven't seen a single drop out of them since.

A Build blueprinting system like Satisfactory has ( and Dune announced will have).

With the announcement of servers shutdown, i thought it was quite frustrating for those who took time to establish and build a nice base on those servers.A blueprint system would alleviate some of that grief by allowing people to easily rebuild a carbon copy of their base ( ofc you'd still need to farm back the materials sadly)

The way i think Blueprint should work is that when placed, a ghost of the blueprinted Build would appear and you'd need to put the required materials to complete the building process.

They don't need water. If your server hasn't disabled mating or your Karkinos are not spayed, they just need to be opposite gender and in range, which is very large as they are massive creatures.

There is currently a bug where the drops that already exist when you get out there won't produce a beam of light, but if you do locate and loot them or just wait for them to despawn, then the new ones that appear while you are already on the surface will have beams like normal

Does official work for you? Our official servers go back about 25 minutes every 45 minutes in constant lag. We've timed it. So basically 45 minutes of game time is only 20 minutes of actual game time

On other maps I've used a group of argies to carry all the materials to a drop but with them absent on Ab and without another creature with weight reduction on metal I'm less confident about getting all the materials to a drop before it despawns. Apparently Tek Replicator cannot be crafted in the Aberration supply drops, but cryo stuff can. Replicator recipe shows up in Rockwell Terminal but not those

So it will take a few trips to get that crafted then, but at least I won't have to worry about a time limit like with supply drops or reaper swarms if I tried to use the surface obelisks

You can still get more than 20 mutations, but you’ll have less of a chance now

So you’re 20/20 on the male side (presumably) , your fms will be 0/0 so you effectively cut your chances to mutate in half. You can help this by going for negative (combine muts til 2.147 bil then flip it into negative (acts as 0)) and getting mutable traits if you have bobs tall tales

You do know that on ASA, the times for daylight change but the Reaper spawns are still on the old ASE timers. That gives you actual hours of time to tame Falsosuchus that you can use to haul materials to an obelisk to craft a Replicator.

Just wait for a 90% night and go out before the spawns wake up at the regular time.

Are hidden/wasted mutations a thing again?
Back in the old days there was a possibility for parents to mutate a stat, but not pass it on to the offspring (or have it in the speed stat, which did not show), therefore increasing the mutation counter without providing any benefit. I didn't see this behavior in ASA at all.
But today alone I got two offsprings from clean parents which both had 1 mutation point (+ color change) in the anchestors tab, but no stat or level increase.

Yes this hasn't changed, the mutation counter and the actual mutations are seperate to each other.

I'm fully aware of that. But if a male 0/20 and and female 0/20 mate and the offspring has 1 mutation count on the male side, but no actual mutations, that's something I haven't seen since ASA release. If a new mutations was generated, it was always passed on to the offspring.

Has most likly to do with your graphic settings. It incresses your performance by a lot if it renders the lighning only in short distance, but i guess you could change your settings for the cost of FPS drop.

In that case step away with your character for like 10 meters, then open consol and type "reconnect", this reconnects you with the server and loads the note like it should.

yea its from ASE, dosn t even recommand it in ASA if you start to type, it will only show you the "EditorReconnect" which you should not use. Only use "reconnect" its a very fast way to reload the map, but keep in mind even if its very fast, if the server is capped and to many people try to join like in the first 2 weeks of a map release, then sometimes it happens that you lose your spot on the server, so only use it when you know the server isn t cap.

Both are overkill for 1080 but I'm running a 7800xt and it's been pretty great on abb after a night or two of tweaking. Nvidia config is probably a bit more user friendly than amd but I can't speak to the 4070 specifically, just the 7800xt.

I'll say one of the things amd brings to the table that I've been enjoying is RSR (Radeon Super Resolution), which is basically upscaling through the AMD driver instead of the game engine. It's nice but it's not amazing enough that you'd double your resolution or anything.

But having used nvidia and amd both in the past I gotta say if somebody held out a 7800xt in one hand and a 4070ti in the other, and said I could have either for free to run ASA with, I'd probably opt for the 4070ti. TI specifically, though, because I've had good luck with TIs in the past.

Mods can be a problem, this is why I dont use any when I play single player. Try to talk with the creator of the mod if you know which one is causing this issue. I never had anything similar on official pve or sp, I always level my dinos, there are limits on official though, rexes can only level up to 450

Focus on smaller dinosaurs, rather than big boys. Equipment like bolas help a lot

Unless you literally mean how you knock them unconcious, which you do with slingshots, clubs, tranq arrows from a bow, tranq arrows from a crossbow, and tranq darts from a longneck rifle in roughly that order of effectiveness

The more damage you do, the more torpor you deal, regardless of method. So if you're trying to knock out that raptor, go for the headshots. Sometimes there's a balancing act, if you've got a particularly good weapon an d are trying to knock out something with very low HP, but that's not likely to be an issue worth worrying about at a low level

Not all creatures are tamed by knockout, keep in mind. Some are passive tame, you follow them around and feed them their favorite food, or other methods

although again, most of the more complicated tames aren't an issue at the very low levels

Was this an efficient and creative way to tame and knock down an allosaur

so i went to the western plains, and there was a whole battle with 3 allosaurs, then i lured all 3 into the water, so they slower, and i killed one and lured the other 2, and one went back on land and the other allo followed me a little further down the coast line

then the allo was almost knocked and it ran away, and i tracked it down and i got the tame

and then put it onto my raft and took it to my base (by the first spawn island (called the footpaw)

I dont use any mods on official, console barley handles what it is now lol. The issue was i had mind wipe tonic and forgot you have to learn gas collector to make the gasoline in the chem bench, all is good now. Just wished it just be the icon in the chem bench that says "Unlock Gas Collector".

You can put down new rafts. Those count as a new tame. But useless as you cannot build on them if the limit is reached.

Any performance benefit is something that comes a lot later in implementation.

On the servers, just need to find out who has all the platform spam going on. Those tames have to be somewhere. What you do to deal with that is up to you.

You can use the ghost command to try and fly to your corpse/bag. But I usually rollback to a backup save if I hit a problem like the climbing pick deleting my character.

Well, I went through blue zone cave on foot with a cosmo. Nameless did spawn, and at one point I heard a reaper but never saw it. The swinging made it easy to jump from one pool to the next without needing to swap scuba flippers on and off and there aren't any nameless in the water, so I think it's the way to go if you don't meander around like I did. A good harpoon gun helped a lot too, and the cosmo made scaling back up to the top near the beginning on the return trip a non-issue
