IDK. I have an older 7820X overclocked to 4.8Ghz with 64GB DDR4, RTX 4080 and samsung pro ssd's. Every map on SA has been flawless running max everything. Aberration is definitely un-optimized and there are alot of flickering lights on textures. Very annoying. Video lag. etc. Updated my video drivers just to see if it would get better, to no evail.

best suggestion I have is to directly join with the 'open' command. You just need the IP address of the server. I say this because my friend and I had this problem off and on. We never really found a reason for it happening, but even if/when the server is not appearing on the list, i can simply type 'open' and the IP address while at the main menu and it joins his server.

So I know people have been upset about pyromanes spawning in the blue zone, and while I dont think they're the best fit, I do like them on the map as a travel option. That said, I do think they cause way to much problems in the blue zone and think a much better place for them would be on the surface. It is basicly the hottest place in ark half the time and your already in for a rough time if your heading there regardless.

Yeah but the flickering, rendering issues, and the texture issues, if you have seen one of the videos where they compare Aberration on ASE to ASA the map just isn't ready. I'd say ASE looks/feels "better" because its easier to run while looking almost the same quality wise for now. Its really easy to see that the contrast and vibrancy have been cranked up a ton making the red zone a neon light show.

Having tames in the game that you have to pay for (but them still being in the world while you dont have them purchased) is a very cruel practice. At least lock it to a map you have to pay for like the old Ark Evolved DLC. 5 dollars is an outrageous price for a single dino that is 100% designed to be pay to win. On top of that, the current pay to win dino like this is a lazy fire shadowmane reskin with new abilities. I really hope none of us tolerate this

ark crashed first time for me since the new update so fun also the performance thing with fsr makes it look way worse but it does sorta work for 1080p i can run on ultra at about 70-90 its very consistent as you travel deeper into aberration, but for 1440p it hardly helps i have to go under high and crutch on dlss and dlss quality and balanced in this game is pointless they give almost no gain for what they do to the imagine and anything lower makes it so blurry but helps a lot for me with frames and im on a 3090 and a i9 10900k

its fine to tame if you know how and don't have ping

throwing the grenade is easy once you know to look for the red trails on its wings after 30 feathers, its the timing especially if you have ping to get it down. Its unpredictable as to the exact tming plus you need to aim at it or the ground and if ground you have to time even better. Again what a horrible taming concept outside of single player

the way i had an easier time taming them is when you get enough feathers in you red lines appear behind their wings and you just count the bobs as they are shooting you cause on the third bob with the red lines is when they dive at you. once you count three bobs throw a fruit at your feet or a bit infront of you after a very very short amount of time

so they changed how the surface works in aberration as far as when you can go on it safely. I'm up here now at 22:00 and I still can't go on it without burning. Its a 90/10 day. It used to just be that day time scaled faster than night. So the question now becomes when can you go

ark keeps crashing and crashing and crashing. i tried reinstalling my mods and asset files by deleting these and verifying the game files SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content/Mods

i redownloaded damn near half of the game and it still would not work, id crash, lose my character, have to get it back somehow, its fucking tiring. Has anyone found any kind of fix? still have the crash logs
