So I finally wanted to try breeding dino's after like 300 hours of game play, I normally just get the wild tames and build bases and well my first dino that I breed was this monster. I know I did something wrong but this level of speed is insane. My flying dinos are useless comepared to her.

Holy boosted stats, Batman. To get that kind of HP with default settings I have to put 40+ levels into a 20 mutation, +50 base state T Rex with at least 80% imprint or better. Which is months of work on a heavily boosted mating cycle server.

Well, to give you an idea - that kind of Rex can probably kill a Giga. Solo. A team of those should be able to run most bosses the game will have.

And to compare, my Rexes are level 400+ when fully leveled to get 50k hp and only 1.2k melee. So yes, your game stats are very different from mine.

988 Movement Speed means that thing is on crack, too. You probably outpace game rendering when sprinting.

Ah, there's your problem. Your imprinting scale is off the charts. So you wouldn't need to breed anything for mutations, just imprinting wild babies would do that even.

The Game.ini file shows BabyImprintingStatScaleMultiplier=0.999989986 which is probably just Wildcard's jank way of saying 0.99.

Well, just be aware that to get anywhere near what that boosted setting was given takes a hella lot of breeding for mutations, quality imprinting and then leveling.

I think the baby multiplier is factered into the game dynamically. If you reset to 1 and load back up, it might normalize.

How did you get 70 points into one stat on a 145, though?

In 8,000+ hours on ASE the most I saw once was 68 points post tame on a 150.

Either you have ungodly bad RNG or Ark really hates you.

All of their other stats were absolute garbage. 15-20's then 70's for speed. 3 in a row. Reeealllly odd to just dump on RNG.

Consider what a nightmarish cheesegrater to the face it is just to find high level bary's I am going to have to go with ARK hates me or that particular breed is coded to favor. None of my other 150s have ever done that. 😦

Weird. From being on servers with 180 max and 300 max, I can say that the more points the more even the distribution seems to be. And low level dinos can have really whacked points pilled all into one stat. But getting three in a row with over 50% of their points into garbage is pain.

You don't want mine. They are still screwed up from when I was breeding since baby maturation and imprint settings are linked.

In fact, I think I reset the imprint timers to default vanilla for purposes of raising a Rhynio, where you might want to actually lower the speed.

Since the number of imprints directly increases the number of 'cravings' and that in turn increases the Rhynio baby quality at birth.

Nothing runs ASA on highest settings. You have to play low settings for that game to run somewhat decently. The update next month should make it better though

hey anyone know how to speed heal dinos without a snow owl and pig im trying to fight the dragon and had put alot into heath and melee but the healing is going to slow

carinvores can be force feed meat. More efficient to feed prime or kibble to a pig. Even a terrible leveled one.

Herbivores can be fed a veggie cake every 30 seconds to regen 2.1k hp at maximum of 21hp (any more hp and they still only regen 2.1k per feed).

Long before I'd do a dragon run I would have a few pigs leveled in just food in cryopods to do between fight healing. It's as basic as getting good saddles and leveling for melee/hp.

Why did Wildcard didnt fix mutation breeding? 0/20 on Male and Female side would be 40 mutations in total , that would be easier to reach than these redicoulus breeding numbers where a dino can reach lvl 450 . With only 40 mutas a dino could be lvl 265 without lvl so something around lvl 300 lvled? 40 Mutations still takes times but its more likely to be reached in some time than these other numbers on official. People will not breed new lines to max mutas and will buy them from discord or ebay sellers... its disgusting. If only 40 mutas would exists people would think maybe again and choose to breed them their own. Also i think if you breed dinos from other tribes again they should be 10% worse or so. So that you say we need to breed our own lines for max stats. the dinos from raiding can be just used for 1 time fighting etc. I hate discord selling stuff and makes the game less enjoyable because no one has the intent to breed again

ordinary ark(the island) is the beginning of the “ark story”, scorched earth is an expansion on that story. Think of it as a dlc expansion(as it originally was in the first place)

once u “ascend” ur character can move to another “ark”, its a bunch of lore stuff

but that’s where scorched earth comes in, it’s the next “test of survival”

So anyone having a problem with mutations where a child gets one of its parents stat mutation but then it says that it’s total it both its parents when that child breeds like you have a parent that has damage 10 and another with damage 8 the Dino may get the stats of damage 10 and should have 5 mutations but no it’s as 9 makes breeding up to damage 20 and health 20 basically impossible

a dino inherits one of the parent's stats at random. if that parent's mutation counter is under 20, it can get +2 to the stat, and it inherits a mutation counter 1 higher

Um...well, when you die the game writes out a bunch of files about your death that can put your character in a really weird state. Just rolling back the .ark file may work or not. You may have to roll back your arkprofie, too. Best of luck.

Hi, just a warning to people who would like to rent a special Club ARK server at a reduced rate : Nitrado has disabled access to ini files (and to file browser too) in the web interface of these servers. That means we can't modify the BaseHexagonRewardMultiplier value in order to scale token rewards. I'm incredibly disappointed. Last month I had a "normal" server for the Club ARK in my cluster, this month I chose the special Club Ark server, just to discover that we can't modify its Hexagon setting.

Hey all, trying to get ark working on a friends machine. New install...launching it, steam says running for a bit then stops. No error. Nothing in the windows log. Nvidia drivers are new (clean install). Any tips?

have you tried turning it off and then on again (just joking) uhh maybe clear your download cache in steam, another thing you could do is reinstall ark, maybe restart your pc if theirs issues

i'm not so technical with issues but it might do it some tricks
