GeForce now is a cloud gaming platform run by Nvidia. It would allow you to run ASA regardless of pc specs. Only downside is that it requires a subscription (I think) and really good internet

The caves are funky with the tether since they have to load themselves separate from the map once you go into the entrance. Since the host is loading that part of the map instead of the main bit, you get tp'd to them and the tether becomes very small, almost microscopic. Usually once you get deeper and farther away from the entrance, at least in the bigger caves, it usually chills out a bit with the close tether but its still kinda wonky and will tp you if you get too far-

The only thing that really matters is the major version number, e.g. 39. The minor version can be different.

Sometimes official and unofficial servers are on different minor versions.

Hey guys, I need help. Yesterday, something weird happened with Nitrado and I had to restore all the settings on our Scorched Earth server (but not the Island, and they are clustered). Now, I can't find either server in the Join list when I first start. If I click the "Show password protected servers" at the bottom, Scorched shows up, but the Island doesn't, no matter what I do. Does anyone have any ideas about this? Thanks, of anyone answers. Oh - is there a way to join directly at the IP from Nitrado?

Oh, I see what you mean - don't start the server. Yeah, that happened to me once with S Plus on Ark Evolved. Loaded it without the mod, and tried to restore a backup and it didn't work.

So, I'm confused about the overall way to approach singleplayer map ascension and multiple maps..
I really like the beginning of the playthrough, to go through the hurdles to set yourself up. But after you can handle anything in the open map, the game starts to be centered around taming, breading and farming for saddles, which is quite tedious do to over and over.

I would like a proper way to bring my tames when I get to that stage, what approach would be the best? Should I simply upload my char everytime I start a new map or is there a proper way to do that without having a full leveled char from day one?

Ha. Half of the time I joined my single player game, most of the structures on my raft would be "invisible" until I got on the raft. Which, ok, it's a bug, I get it.
Now I joined my game, and the raft (which was in the north coast near carno island) was in vertical position, and the tame I had on it appeared in the redwoods.

My first thought was "Ok, I don't know whether to get upset or laugh at how ridiculous it was".

Well, at least the tame was suspended in air during that time and only fell when I got close. I gave me time to get there without it being killed.

@viral shore there is also a big freeze (around 5 sec) when you come near an oasisaur where structures are build on.
this should get fixed fast. Especially because many people have them and the game is always freezing because of that.

2 days now I'm losing random bits of progression each time I sign on to my Nitrado server. I've tried loading up a previous save file but it doesn't work and whatever is lost is still lost. Like, I built a chem bench I log off log back on and its like I never built it. Anyone else dealing with this?

@viral shoresorry for the ping, but fix the oasiosaur. We spent the whole day on it and have already killed 6 because of the vultures. They fly into the oasiosaur and even rare flowers do not help, they immediately fly back or do not react to flowers at all šŸ˜¦

It's a 2016 Ark bug that somehow just like many others in this "built from the ground up" game ended up reappearing. They fixed it before, they can do it again. When however cannot be soon enough

Any dinos and any structures/containers it takes can potentially be retrieved from 50/50 or demolished for their mats, but anything that it takes out of containers or bodies is just gone gone right away. Occasionally it dupes stuff, not sure how that works. It happens at server restarts and it is not a nitrado issue but an ark bug (you can get it on dedis aswell).
Lost a few cryos yesterday and 50+ turrets out of a vault to this just Sunday.

The buildups at 50/50 can also cause massive lag and server crashes which is why on private servers admins normally aoe clear them often

it is a problem with unreal's garbage collection code, according to an experienced modder. happened on and off since release

50/50 on most maps is the 0 point in engine coordinates, anything that gets lost without being fully destroyed just pops up there
