Gotta think about mechanics of the way babies in the game eat now. They dont eaet every 10 food. They eat every say 40 points. That four normal feeds; meat being worth 10 points for example. If a baby hasnt eaten that when you pop it out of the gigaraptors saddle and it only had 40 points in food at that stage in its developement and didnt have a lot of health then yea its gonna die.

We as dino raisers have to be mindful of our babies now. Its not just a stuff em with food and walk off. Its stuff em with food and wait to see how much they drop before they eat it.

It does selectively when you ride it and play the boost games with babies in saddle. But you need to buffer your babies by making sure they have food in their inventory (or a high enough food and heath stat) for when you eject them from the saddle. Raptor wont feed them unless you are interacting with it. So not a maewing style nanny to be sure.

If that doesnt work then load them with food before you put them in the saddle. They will "trough" feed before they inventory feed so the food should give you a buffer.

Personal preference. I run with about 700 weight, but if you keep an Argie or pack animal nearby, matters a lot less. Depends how much you find yourself on foot and what weapons you have access to. I have an ascendant sword, so I out DPS any of my Dinos. HP and melee are very useful there.

You bring a lot and raise a lot of babies. I mean, what info exactly are you looking for here? Get clean females with no mutations, get a male with all the stats, breed the male to the females. Only baby you keep is the male with the mutation you want. Rest are culled. Rinse repeat. Higher level dinos are better to start with so you have higher stats.

you have to run a full dedicated server with the standalone software if you want to join it from the same pc

for anyone outside your LAN to join, you need to make sure your ports, NAT, and firewall rules are set up to allow inbound traffic for the ports the server is set to

if they cant connect via your external IP, it is not set up right

No, it blocks the spawn spot not allowing another parent & baby to spawn on the map. After taming the babies make sure to kill the parents so it reopens that spawn spot for the map.

when making a dedicated server though if your on steam select tools and a popup thats says hold ark dedicated server will pop up and you need to instal it (about 10 gb atlest for asa ) it will instal a console to be able to make setting and wat not. fair warning if it is a public server be careful because people can hack your pc from that so if you are runing a public i suggest puting it on a seperate one appart from you main pc

Are you playing split screen? Playstation version with split screen causes a crash when leaving the game, it won't save and leaves at whenever the last autosave was. I got around it with admincheat 'saveworld'. You just do that right before leaving the game (or obsessively as you play), and then the crashing issue isn't a problem.

I finally finished raising my magmasaur, I use it for gathering metal and it's been great so far.
but how do I transfer the metal properly?
so far I have my magmasaur stay at a metal spot and then bring an argy and anky but at that point having the magmasaur there in the first place is questionable..

If not, the most effecent thing would be to harvest metal with the magmasaur, let it smelt into ingots and then fly back with the argie loaded up on ingots

So, my friend and I tried the Turkey trial event on our server. First day everything went fine. Now, everytime I left my base I got a disconnect from the server. When I stay in my base all is fine for hours, but when I left the base I got server timeout nearly instant🤣 Is that a problem caused by Turkey trial mod? I reinstalled everything and so on (ps5) but still got disconnected and my char gets a set back to where I join/left regulary. Is there a solution beyond removing the Turkey trial? Sadly most of the ones that this has happened to they were in unbuilt areas. At most might have been a pillar around ten or so foundations away. But I'm guessing the games native structures perhaps are counting as structures in this case; rocks and tress maybe overlapping in the mesh.

Yeah seems like that's why I also quit trying to tame it on asa you're better off just killing it with a dino you have for xp

Plus I dont think you can feed them after the tame so they die eventually starving to death

Anyone notice dragon seems like it was buffed? Theris with 110 armor saddles were taking 700 damage per bite. Also with 900 melee and only hitting for 300

if you’re playing asa you can force a respawn by going into your inventory, hovering over your implant for 5 seconds and then press E

“I can’t move”

if the dino being stuck is the issue then you’re out of luck
