We've checked everywhere. I'm only posting here because its our babies / things you wouldn't leave out unless you are raising them. I had five rhynia's growing. I'm down to two. Tribemate had 20 theris he was growing, he's down to seventeen of them. There is likely more then that that we've not yet really accounted for because other tribemates haven't been on. We know one of them had a few bugs she was raising and she's down to two now. Its a legit actively blipping out of our cryo fridges. A theri we just used to farm rare flowers earlier this week that we cryoed right after the job was done is gone.

Official. I've gotten at least one confirmation from someone else on the server that they've also lost things this way. We've only seen it in the past weekish. That person said its been about two weeks since it started for them.

This is comedy. We just said we would put the breeders out and feed them to avoid loosing more and we are missing even more now. This is stressful.

You have to make a choice on stats. Dinos have level caps. Once tamed or raised from bred dinos they can gain up to 88 levels from exp. The stat weights in dinos determine their level. So you have to do the math on what stats you want to have prioritized. If that is weight then your weight stat would be maxed to 254 (255 is the cap and you cannot add points after that if its born with 255). Add 88 to that and you have 342. Gives you 108 points to split elsewhere in its stats if its max level is 450. So take an argentavis. If you put 50 points in health and stam (100), and that last eight points in mele, with 254 in weight you would have a baby that starts at 362. Giving you the perfect 450 after adding the 88 levels. There may be settings on unofficial and single player to bypass the cap. You'd just have to research it. Might be ini settings verses interface settings. But yes people breed in low stats to prioritize the stats they want.

ASA is smaller - for now, because ASA has 1 map and ASE has 12. Maps are what took up most of the space in ASE, we’ll have to see how it actually turns out

major version numbers need to match server an client side , just how things work i guess so , client v33.xx wud not work with a server v34.xx
alot of patches are to stop dupes, clitches, exploits etc
so if you cud choose , be no point fixing those things

Are others on the server and staying on it? Cleared your cache? Restarted between uninstall and reinstall? Verified files after reinstalling? Makes little sense for you to timeout on one server but not others. Unless your body is stuck somewhere / in something. Do you have tribemate who could move your body? Or loot your inventory and kill you forcing you to respawn? Was your inventory full when you logged?

Only character creation isnt actually fully in. you need to make a character and see if it lets you stay in. As you arent on a server until you spawn in and render yourself in it..

I just did it an hour ago - went to look for it after my game client crashed and the damn game made my argy vanish - the last save was 2 hour prior /facepalm....

might just be an isolated issue to me but might be worth verifying so you dont get punch in the nuts like me with the was WC fails at testing patch releases

If i understood correctly you were trying to tame it, and were running out on time before he dismounts you, if he does you lose effectivness, if you dismount yourself you won't lose effectivness, but you will have to feed him again

I have that happening to me with rexes rn xD and there's a weird thing happening where randomly getting a 20 lvl lower rex that has lower stats into food and its messing me up and i checked all of the rexes they are all on same stats, male has higher cus i merged the females with mutations i got with the new found rexes to get even higher stats

Anyone know how to fix the same issue happening on Xbox consoles for unofficial since the last update? When you try to join it says unable to join unofficial server because not enough mod storage. I have plenty of mod storage and there's nothing to download, I only have the mods downloaded that are on the server itself which was on the server before the update. Its clearly a visual glitch but no one seems to be reporting about this consistently and I've checked over servers, it seems to count the servers total mod size even if you already have the mods downloaded. Say server is 5GB, you have all 5GB already downloaded, but then go to join and says you don't have enough storage to download 5GB even though you already have all the mods for that server. If you've got a dunkle, they get metal from regular rocks and obsidian, plus metal nodes spawn in a pond above green ob (though that's not super helpful lol)

Good evening, i have a problem, when i start a solo game with mods (or even without), everything is fine until a random day where it resets all my settings and mods (like i lose every stacks of stuff 2000-> 300 for the metal for example). Can i fix this ? (it does the same without mods).

Its resetting to normal settings. Likely because the game is still in early access and things get changed, thereby resetting the game / settings. As you're playing single player the easiest solution is to just admin command in whatever you loose. Or play at normal settings until the game is more stable.

Some settings are in the menu, some are in the INI files. Its always been split kinda weird that way. In both ASE and ASA. Believe ASA has more in the INI though. I've not cross compared the menu options however. It's probably been thought about and is likely there. Just in the INI. But if your settings are getting reset, it doesn't sound like it would matter if it was in settings anyway.

You'll have to research specific INI settings to suit your needs. I'm only familiar with what I've personally done. Such as the build piece count, which I altered so I could test builds that would be suitable for official caps. As the two are different. But I'll reiterate. If your settings / mods are getting reset its likely something out of your control due to the current nature of the game. Unless you disable updates via steam. At that point though you may not be able to play anyway. Mods will be updated to the current games version to keep up, etc. You'll have to watch and see if / when said day comes and settings change. Does it coincide with a patch, minor or major? Is it truly random. You start answering those questions you may find the source of the problem.

You can not, you can download moded maps tho, there are dozens of them out there and around 10-15 are very good maps.

it also depends if ur solo or in a few man tribe, if ur solo then such character loss is very serious cuz you lost well, everything. With the other one you can be simply invited back, make a note-run and craft/find lost items

One thing they're doing right with ARK:SA is leveraging the mod community even more. Making Nitrado the only commerical server provider, to get a portion of that revenue. Creating a features that allows mods to be used on official servers, so they can get a slice of mod/asset sales over time. And "premium mods" to get a slice of those sales, too. It should allow for some great experiences eventually, but this is a comprehensive cash grab.

No, when breeding the stats you get are the numbers the parents have
If you have a parent with 100% and a parent with 150% you can have either 100% or 150% on the baby, but you can get a mutation on top of that, so you can get multiple mutations on a stat, just need to get lucky with where the mutation is

They even implemented that clever "Player Servers" checkbox to give Nitrado servers priority access to new players, keeping those NItrado servers active. Making dedicated machines seem like second-rate by calling them "Player Servers", so new players can confuse them with hosted/co-op style play. Smart move on their part.
