i run with 10 yuti female 10 rexs 14 argys and my argy kibble i use for every less that requires super kibble.
egg laying in ASA got to keep them in range so when not around the base less production.
while in range if i spend a whole day in base i can get around 170 eggs

from my understanding with forums as well with recent fixes.
every tree / metal / rock has X Health and they are not all the same health pool.
recent patches have fixes the over kill what they call a " bug ".
however melee % can still change the out come of each node. the higher = better conversion.
so say a metal node has 100 res in it.
if say 200% melee you might get 20 metal per hit 5 stone per hit where if you have say 525% melee you may get 90 metal to 10 stone and 1 shot it.

however every node is different, 525% is roughly cut of point to 1 shot most nodes but the melee % can still change the % of metal to stone you may get.

They share spawn zones. Each area will spawn either a giga or carcha, because most areas cannot spawn more than one. There will be a chance for the other to appear in another spawn zone. You can find both of them alive, just usually far away.

it varies alot, they have like 5 spawns (each major mountain) shared with carcha and only ever upto 3 combined i think it is on the map at a time ,

but then they only spawn chance when the total map dino count gets below a certain number ,
generally speaking with half dozen players on a server between 1hr an 12hr

Also, the official servers are free for us compared to EXTRA paid servers (unofficial) with (possibly) more resources.

How am I blocking resources if I didn't build anything? We are tired of people being pushed around by players telling others they can't build somewhere yet the game hasn't blocked it. Resource rich areas should be unbuildable, if its not allowed to build there. Caves are, some mountain areas are. I'm just saying new players starting the game just start building and then a week later someone starts harassing them... they say sorry move and thus has been going on since launch. first of all theres not a single map that people can 100% pillar everything. the concept is: easier to settled areas will always be occupied.its on the logic of come first served first

if you mean you have half the wild level-1 it's normal , most tames are like that , even with the best food possible you'll always loose a level , infact even if the dino only consumes once you'll still lost a level , only very few tames can be fully tamed at 100%

Tranq before knock out has nothing to do with te. Some dinos drop even with best food. It's a time thing. Starve and feed narcotics only until food is down to 75% so it eats multiple bited quickly and tames. This way there's no time for te to drop.

I have 9 snails. I keep them on wander in the wooden cages against rhe wall. Easy to collect through the cage door without opening it. 900 Achatina Paste every collection and lots of polymer. I just throw the polymer in my fabricator and leave it there. I end up with hundreds on hand at any given time and use it for metal arrows occasionally (for my compound bow). I also keep oviraptors on wander in the wooden cages. Easy to collect eggs from them that way, too.

I recommend a beehive if you don't have one yet. I keep one placed in my greenhouse. And also what I just posted above (Snails and oviraptors in wooden cages help for farming). I keep 9 snails in 9 cages, 3 oviraptors, in 3 cages and 1 dung beetle in 1 cage, 2 penguins in 1 cage, 3 dodo in 1 cage. Will be adding a couple compy into another cage soon.

It can snap into the center of a 1x1 ceiling/foundation or you can place them manually. It's smaller than 1x1. I have them in a row along a wall unsnapped, so I can fit more.

Just have to make sure the doors face you so you can walk sideways along them to loot everything from the animals. Everything on wander tends to have some part of their body sticking out of the cage door a little making it easy.

Yep. I usually throw them in, and if their not quite in all the way I punch them once to move them in. Set them on wander and close the door.

Snails make Achatina Paste (stacks up to 100) and Organic Polymer (stacks up to 20). Penguins you can leave not on wander, just standing. I keep a pair in there for egg production and just aesthetic of having animals in cages. Same with dodos.

Oviraptors on wander so you get the egg boost buff on nearby dinos and also they loot eggs around them that drop. Increase their melee to increase their range.

Just space out the snails in every other cage, so they don't hump and make baby snails.

If you do the cages in a row like I did. About 1 tile space is all you need to keep snails apart.

Not at all. Just means they'll have lower food, so you have to be more careful about leaving them unfed for too long. Higher levels have better food so they can last longer. I just keep an eye on their food elevels when I collect and feed them once or twice a week as needed (1 Veggie Cake = 500 Food).

If you aren't familiar, there is an app called ARK Smart Breeding. Inagame you can export dinos, and ARK puts all the dino info in a folder on your machine. Then you can import those files into the program. So it will have all the dinos of each species and help you determine which pairs are best to mate, etc. Easy visualization. My friend is better at it with mutations and such.

I played the first year or so of Early Access (ARK: Survival Evolved) on official PvP. Back when it took like 14+ hours to tame a Rex. After that I went to unofficials with mods and increased rates, and never looked back. But I think it's a great idea to feel the game out with vanilla rates (or close to it) before deciding to add anything to improve your experience. The mod community for ARK is amazing.
