I have a very nice base location on my pc server but I am going to move to ps5 eventually, ill my pc server be crossplay with ps5 when it comes out or will there be specific crossplay servers that i will need to move to? I just want to keep the server I have on pc and be able to play iwth my ps5 tribe

From what I understand the current steam servers will be crossplay eventually ,but the transfers won’t open probably for like half a year, when console releases there going to be new set of cross plat servers with boosts but everyone has to start fresh on them there’s no transfers till way in the future until the the console people “catch up” to steam

Yeah of course but most likely they don’t have to 2k to by the pc rig that is required to run ark either, but taking into account that snail games is claiming 600k copies sold, one would expect to see at least a 10% player count base line with an flux of 25% player count on weekends (with this being a newly released game) but we not even seeing any of that now.

The new tribe tame UI is awesome, and I think there is potential for it to be even more useful than it is now. If they gave us a way to organize tames, and adjust settings on tames from that window, it would be a major QOL improvement.

I envision for example, sticking all my Racer breeders into a folder and being able to set all of them to "Enable Breeding" or "Ignore group whistles"

If you google the crash error there's a reddit post with an answer that has some console commands that might help, but you have to put them in every time you start the game.

trust me u will hit high 90's off one kill but make sure to time it right or u will run out of 4x and 2x and u only will get like 10-15 levels depending where u are if ur in 90s u will only get like 1 level without 4x and 2x

idk why but for some magic reason i have much much higher fps now on my rtx 3090, today i turned on asa and wondered why it ran so smooth then i checked with nividia overlay it only used 60% utilization so cranked up the rez to 1440p and all settings to high besides textures to ultra and still with the ini fix indoor i hit 103 fps now and outdoors around 80 with bein around 93 fps utilization, did they swung themagic wand or was there some background wizardy

Some updates have come yea. Noticed alot more performance boosts past few updates. I was hovering around 100 fps since around a few days after launch but now I'm at around 250+ on low although u capped it at 165 since no need to go higher. I play pvp so don't need good graphics. Make the game look worse makes it easier to hunt people down

I've had a couple that were tagalongs with a parent I tamed, so I had pretty good data before/after on the process. and the baby def gained levels. they aren't the only ones I've seen the extra level bit on, but the ones I have the most data on. but by far the majority have not gained levels. maybe 4 or 5 out of .. geez... 40 or so babies claimed.. something like that anyway.

IDK what the problem is. we all know it's early access and there are bugs. but despite all that, the game runs great for me. I even have a Dedicated Server running on my lan so I can play on the laptop downstairs. and again, it runs fine. I'm sure there are some who either don't like the new game, or their hardware is proving problematic. but from my POV, ASA is by far the better game right now.

Reviews are as reliable as reddit now and days. Your best bet is going to watch youtube and twitch from people playing the game.

I can count the amount of times as of recent on one hand the amount of games reviews gave me an honest judge of a game.

No. That's a good observation. This is just something to do and game reviews are not reliable for Ark. I'm happy I bought it. My wife is happy she got it. A friend of ours doesn't like the game. Which one of us should review it? I could say give it a try if you have a lot of time to kill.

At least, with this game, it is exactly what it looks like. A dino survival game. It's easy. Dead easy. The crashes and rollbacks are the only boss that's a challenge.

The ` key should open up the bar and just type Ghost ... that 'll let you go through the rock. Then see if you can get onto the dino and ride it out .. when a dino is under the Ghost cheat , it can move through solid objects.

Well for one you have a two core CPU, a 1650 super is a fairly entry level GPU as well. Your ram should be ok tho.

i don't see why is this a problem.. Consoles servers will have at least 15 days with no transfers, i believe hard on that. Like were getting on steam and like they do with every ark new server/map launch... No one can transfer any server just because they are all new. There will be Crossplay servers but steam players will only be able to start a fresh character there at the start. so everyone will be at same point i guess. In 15 days console should catch steam players

I read from them that they are opening Crossplay servers on day 1, but im not sure about transfer on day one.. that never happened on any new server. it's not fair

Completely depends on how much they boost the rates for us. Most top PC tribes are completely set up and are just prepping for when transfer open so while we’re catching up, they’ll just continue to get more stuff and better lines

did you see the "turn off lumen" video from MLMariss ? actually makes a HUGE difference to frame rate performance and you don't actually need to turn any of the clouds and other pretty things off. it's on a very common streaming site search for "Unlock max FPS: Graphic settings guide for ARK Ascended (UPDATED)"

lumen global illumination is absolutely beautiful but it's expensive, maybe some of you can grab some frames with it off.

i can say that using Real world experiences. eventual the alpha tribe will get sloppy and make one too many mistakes and get d throwned. maybe not wiped but most certainly removed from power. Real world philosophy can be applied a video game because people are still people. and people are predictable.
