Anyone having an issue with the radial menu glitching after you make your first selection? For instance, I am trying to "hide hat" in the emotes section of the radial menu. Once I choose emotes, the cursor disappears and seems to be stuck in the same vicinity as the previous "emotes" selection.

Favouriting is working. What isn't working is them appearing in the list 😛 if you do a search on the normal server list you can see the server has a star on it which means it's favorited. Not appearing in the favourite list is another issue entirely.

Theres no transfers, but will be plenty of Xbox tribes that going to spawn in and use our rates and claim base spots while we downloading the game. Might start at level 1 but boosted rates and notes, they'll be high level and claiming spots while we still download the game.All the ones that lost the fight for there server.

I think there are console only servers which I 100% recommend you play on, you don't want to fight these cheating feckers when transfers activate, they have unlimited resources and weapons. I have noticed that the start_game.bat parameters and the game_settings.ini can conflict. If it’s already in the .ini take it out of the start_game.bat. This is ASE lol. New Ark server will post in under 2 minutes. But same thing really. Honestly, if it’s not loading more than what you say, it’s likely a hang and not running at all. Disable the holiday event as well. I’d say rebuild the server and do all the config you can in the .ini.

Don’t have conflicting or duplicating info in the bat and ini. Best way to unlearn and relearn new engrams, if it is your server, is to delete character, remake character, and give xp until old level is reached. Reapply xp to engrams.

@glitch You should build a bird trap. Works like a charm. I’ve tamed so many argies that way. Nooblets has a really good video on his channel. It’s on his how to tame a snow owl video. Works for argies too. (I don’t do the lip that he does though. I found that didn’t work for me so I skip that step)

People are just assuming that because of the fact that it currently doesn’t do anything, you can still ride your dinos no matter if the durability is at 0% and you still get full armour.

True. You have to get the spacing right though so you can slip out easily. I find the trap using regular stone doorways and Dino gates on the end works perfectly. Also, you can leave one end of the trap closed and lure the argy in, jump through the sides then quickly close the Dino gate from the outside. Running through a trap and then closing the door as you exit doesn’t seem to work as well.

If you’re playing with another person, it also works to have someone on a flying mount luring the argy while the other person tranqs it from the ground or a ground mount, but, sometimes the argy will fly away when injured enough, so that’s not as effective as using a cage to trap it.

I hope you can disable saddle durability on single player or private servers.

What I would say to try and do is do the go to possible fixes, which you more than likely already done. Check to make sure your drivers are updated. Make sure your OS is up to date. Then try dropping all settings down to low see how long it takes to crash. If it doesn't crash start increasing your settings. I would start changing your settings up to where they were at one by one. For me my game crashed a little after making a major graphical change. Hopefully that helps.

i looked at a server page in my browser and i seems like 5174-5178 are down since 7 hours. And if i look true the numbers i would say 30% of the servers are offline at the moment.

One thing to remember is that WC had to rush like crazy due to snail taking that loan with the Oct. 31 deadline. So it's no surprise that there are bugs. The shitty part is that WC has to take the brunt of all of the complaints for Snail's terrible decision making. Hence the whole Nitrado debacle.

The other thing about the packages— the game would morph into a pay to win format. Which would bring way more hate than ever before.

For the most part, the server settings/parameters seem the same for ASE and ASA. I would almost think that Ark Server Manager would work with ASA. Anyone tried it?

My meaning was, did you set the password correctly? Not doubting your skill but even a small typo can change it.

If it is correct, try getting a friend to test if its an issue on the server side or your client

You'll probably have abit less space on Playstation, unless they learnt how to compress files on consoles but not on pc's - cuz previously ASE weighted around 100gb (idk forgot, haven't played on ps for a long time) on consoles and 450 on pc's, so in short there's a possibility that on consoles it will weigh less

Rename the current file with _old and delete the time stamp information in the name on the backup. I think it’s called Theisland.Ark, call it theisland_old or some such and rename the backup theisland.Ark. Btw, I don’t know who thought this would be perfect out of the gate. Look in the config directory for a file called config_settings.ini. Modify in notepad. Similar parameters to using the start.bat. Make copy and name one _old.ini and make new config_settings.ini. Don’t duplicate setting in start_server.bat and configsettings.ini. I’m not at computer, the file names are approx. you have to show hidden files to see .ini.

100% not. I have an RTX 3080 and the game is barely playable on absolute low settings at 1440p. Recommend to me would mean 60fps on max settings and that is not achievable in the slightest at the moment. If you wanna upgrade because of ASA I recommend waiting a couple months as things can and likely will change over time.

It may run higher. I just got the laptop and I’ve been meaning to hook it up to my LG CX OLED. Are you running the 4070 in 2K with DSLL. It’s amazing how different the game looks on the 4070 and A770 vs my 2060 which looks like ASE on lowmem/low mode. It seems the quality really goes down with DSLL.

Heavy adjustments shouldn't be necessary when you have recommended hardware imo. It can't be that games that came out a year ago that can easily be played on maxed settings at 2k at 144frames and now when you do the same with ARK you are talking about below 30fps

I would think that UE 5 would be naturally optimized over UE 4. You can see some of the optimization in load times for server/client. Way faster.

industry standard is 60 fps medium graphics on recommended hardware it's been this way for a long time now say your talking ultra 2-4k on recommended hardware your might not get to 30 frames sadly to achive 144fps you will have to do some tweaking console commands above recommended hardware we talking like 4090 intel I9 newest gen 64gig ram they should show these spects also i agree

same on all servers, they typically do nothing about it. They'll fix the dupe but not punish anyone for using it, that server is dead now, you'll never be able to catch up to the cheats they'll walk all over you for years.
