you could probably watch a video on this but you place down 3 dinosaur gateways in a square with one side open, then you put a large bear trap in the center to trap it. you make it chase you until it gets inside of the trap, once thats done you place the last dinosaur gateway on the side without one and it will be stuck in there. now just tranq it and then feed it meat (mutton is the best kind but prime will work good as well)

but it will run off when the tranq gets high so you have to chase it down which can be annoying, sometimes it runs back at you and you could die from that

You can take the pteranodon to the top of one of the mountains (make sure to go to the mountains in the center of the map the others are dangerous) and get tons of obsidian for polymer and metal for Ingots. then raid beaver dams for cementing paste. you can craft it but damn it takes a long time to get alot

I would go for longshot rifle at the smithy and shotgun at the fabricator

Rifle can get expensive to use due to how much gunpowder the ammo needs for how fast it's eaten up

But fabricated pistol is a good quick shot

What is even the point of the mining laser? It makes stuff weigh less than it weighs on an argy but because my carry weight is lower I can't carry as much as an argy and anky even with it weighing less. You fill up so fast with even 100% dmg mining drill that you can't even move. It also requires such high level to make that by that point you have an argy and anky so it just feels useless.

From experience: You cannot feed from the head side, it will wake up and reset.

A friend of mine showed me a good trap to tame one with 0 issues, if you want to try, I don't have a video but it's very easy overall.

The trap: (Depending on map) Use a flier or anything to stand above a 2x2 foundation with walls all around it.
The shadowmane will teleport/stun to you then fall in the trap.
After that just leave rendor and you can feed it through the walls from any angle and get that perfect tame.

Gas Mask is very useful and defo Rocket Launchers 🚀

Always go for the Dragon 1st, because tackling both at same time you’re probably going to get put to sleep and then get bombarded by Rocks and Fire

Oh ok 🙂 I notice that on private servers at least the shores tend to fill up with jellyfish and alpha megalodons in the hundreds making it impossible to tame or get into the ocean to make a start and wasn't sure if that was because they don't dino wipe 😛 wasn't sure if that also happened on official or not but never seen it so assumed official got dino wipes to solve it

I think I’ve figured out why the obsidian in the lower south cave wasn’t respawning. Long time ago I’d built a standing torch at the entrance to the cave. I’ve removed it. Let’s see if that does the trick.

Dragon still deals a pretty big punch towards Carnivores if I remember rightly, and of course the Fire Balls, whereas the Manticore can still send everything sleepy night night…
