To make fertiliser in the compost bin you need the poop and thatch for it to produce fertiliser, I normally put dung beetles in cages on wander to make my fertiliser instead

Non-dedicated session is you hosting while still being able to play, you'll have a tether with other players. You can increase the tether on pc, but you're still likely to have issues where the other player teleports to you randomly, especially in caves.

Dedicated sessions are you essentially using that pc and account to host a server. You cannot play on the pc and account while it is hosting the server, but others can join. You will have to have another pc in order to play it.

You must have dumped it by accident then, they can’t dismount you or destroy saddles (nothing can destroy saddles)
