Did you attempt to join from her friends list instead of the IP? There is a possibility that you used the wrong IP.

nope, she sent me a short video in DMs of how i join the server from steam. i then copied her ip, pasted in steam, opened up the game, found her server under favorites, pasted the password and joined

a lot

depends on the level of the giga, and the quality of the crossbows. bring like 600 tranq arrows and at least 5 crossbows

along with maybe 500 narcoberries

once it's down don't pump narcos right away, let the torpor drain to about 30%

forcefeed it like 200 narcos, that should keep it down for quite a while

in the time it takes the harpoon gun to reload, the torpor can start dropping and erase the progress you've made

gigas have a lot of torpor and it drops fast

Movement speed doesn’t actually change when you get a mutation there.

The slider will not fix that. You can follow this link to change the level cap of wild dinos. If you are on any of the first 4 story maps, as the message states they are bugged, you will need a mod or to overwrite spawns in order to fix the level distribution.

Reasons why Carcharodontosaurus is better than Giganotosaurus in Ark.

1. Easier to tame
   Even though the first part of the taming process for the Carcha is hard, the other part is pretty easy. Just go around killing stuff while riding it. Certainly a lot easier than spending 300 tranquilizer darts on a Giga and waiting sometimes hours(depending on the world settings) for it to tame.

2. Easier to incubate eggs
   If you don't have an egg incubator, Carcha eggs only take 1-2 fireplaces to hatch!

3. Bloodrage
   Carchas generally do less damage than Gigas. But with enough stacks of Bloodrage, you can more than DOUBLE your damage output and destroy Gigas. This is also good for meat-running bases.

4. Speed boost
   Every time a Carcha kills something, it gains a big speed boost(along with a stack of Bloodrage). Not only that but when you roar, you give a speed boost to your teammates and tames and the more stacks of Bloodrage you have the longer the speed boost lasts!

5. Doesn't rage
   Unlike Gigas, Carchas don't rage and throw you off their backs.

These are the reasons why I think Carcharodontosaurus are better than Giganotosaurus in Ark. I think it is the new king of this game.

you could do it with somewhat less, but that's the range to shoot for

to get those numbers you have to start by taming the highest level rexes you can find, anything under 130 is useless

i would suggest going to another server as well, unless you're dead set on doing the story. you can go to Center or Ragnarok and they have some very nice level distribution

easiest way is to look at anything the tribe owns and do ForceJoinTribe
but with the tribe name you can use ForcePlayerToJoinTribe <PlayerID> <TribeName> (this one has issues if nobody is in the tribe)

Apex Dinos are 10X stronger then the vanilla counterparts

or when I am bored I bring in a Apex Broodmother and let them fight to the death
