@leaden mason If it's single player, you should be able to go into the savegame directory and delete the tribe profile or your player profile and that should wipe the character and progress. If you are gonna start completely over tho, just remove all of em.

Try this: From in game or the main menu, go into settings and go into the gameplay section. In that section, I believe it’s in the bottom right, it will say reset singleplayer data or something along those lines

For singleplayer, adjust the slider when you are about to start your game, or you can go into your game.ini or gameusersettings.ini and increase the amount of dinos allowed on the map.

For me, I always go to extinction first to get my gachas, I know where they are in the forest biome, you can also try fjordur but I find they are camped quite a bit there.

1. From the HOME Menu, select System Settings.
2. Scroll down and select Data Management, then Delete Save Data. ..
3. Select the game title for which you want to delete the save data.
4. If available, select the User for which you want to delete the save data, or select Delete All Save Data for this Software.

the only map i have with gachas is fjordor or a modded map but even on fjordor no gachas spawn and the dino count setting is put at max

Just go into single player on your switch, choose the map you want to play and in the upper right corner is a disc icon. Click that and you can delete your save

My instinct would be to check for updates on the Switch: reason being if you don't have a way to wipe from the data management button, that indicates it may be out of date. If that doesn't work, I'd reinstall Ark.

Hi, i just saw a video on youtube about gathering metal fast and i did what he said grab a saddle and a tamed ptenadon and fly to a mountain or what ever you call it first time i died bc the stamina ran out and then got eaten by spiders bees and a sarco chasing me second time i managed to get there but my pteranadon was low lvl so stamina was running out quick again but i still managed to then get to the place where you get alot of metal by the ''gold stones'' then i was very hungry and i hopped on my flyer and flied down to get some berries and food then flied back up gathered metal tried to fly back to my base with the metal but too much weight so i kept dropping 10 metal at a time from having 150 to having 50 with no weight problem but then. i got hungry and dehydrated again and tried to fly down but lost stamina fell down and died to a spino.
waste of 20 minutes. i could,ve gathered that metal from normal rocks in like 10 minutes.
does anyone have a recomendation for me?

Well first, I've heard that mod does not like working on singleplayer, but you can try moving your mods around.
First, remove all the mods from the list by clicking the mods and the arrows in the mod menu. Add Omega as the first mod, and then your others separately. Once you've done that, you can load into the game and do the destroywilddinos command. If it still does not work, you may want to exit and try the launch parameter -preventhibernation

My personal experience: I used the swamp cave for Fjordur (Which in hindsight was probably a big mistake) netted me a max level Desmodus by means of alot of pain, suffering and dying

Ragnarok for easy reason it most common to base on if you're looking for community of players to interact with for trade and chat as well as at least twice the size of the island if not bigger.

Lost Island has an interesting layout I feel like it more for people who like designing around ruins cause their 5 pre-set ruins all of which you can build at and aren't restricted from.

Crystal Isles has an easy tame of wyverns, a huge organic poly spawn in the redwoods, easy element and crystal harvest.

Valguero also has a couple nice castle ruins and a decent organic poly spawn of penquins in the north east side at the frozen lake, but one of those castles on Val in the redwoods does consider the inside a cave in that one so you'd have to find an unofficial that allows cave building

Depends on purposes of your breeding, if it's for daily uses dino then yes you can. But If it's for mutations purposes make sure all those females mutations counter are still clean.

Your first step is generally going to be to try to get all the good stats you care about on to some males and females so that you can set up

And as soon as you're however many females you want produces a son with the mutation you want, you swap the old stud out and put their son in his place

I personally dont even bother with mutated females, if it gets a mutation I need I just kill it and get a male

or obviously there is some mods where u can gender change lol

If you've just been mixing everything that has mutations together you're probably not dealing with super optimized creatures anyway

well it depends on your settings

1. take all of your wild tamed or zero mutation dinosaurs and breed them all together until you get a male and a female who have all of the good stats

2. breed until you have like around 10 or however many you want females that also all have those good stats

3. have your male doing the business with all of the females. Watch for a baby to have a level two higher than the parents. Check that baby stats to see if they get the mutation in the one you want

Faster breeding rates makes the process quicker but it's all still the same thing

There is an optional Step Zero where you feed your wild tames mutagen if you have it but that's kind of just not always necessary. Mutating the old-fashioned way all get you the numbers regardless

Honestly breeding is a thing that you don't make the only thing you do for a session

Especially if you're going on slower servers it's a long process that you have going on in the background while you're doing other things

You're going off on your adventures for the day after work and maybe check to see if your T-Rex's have finally pooped out that melee baby you need

in my opinion with breeding you dont want slow rates like official but you also dont want super fast rates, because with super fast rates you'll just be pooping out eggs constantly and the only thing u will be doing is breeding, you'd have like no time for anything else

My settings are like, .25 or something breeding cooldown which is about right for how I play. And if i'm frustrated and want lots of babies to throw those dice constantly I can dart some platypi for instant cooldowns lol

But yeah like many things in this game, the settings are a balancing act about what's right for you

You know what the simplest thing to do is just to tell you to download Smart breeder

And let it tell you which dinosaurs to mate with which other dinosaurs

Pay attention to the choices it's making and why it wants you to pair those dinosaurs together and you won't need it pretty soon aside from for organizational stuff

Also to simplify what u told me about the mutation thing, i combine the stats and then breed them, if the mutation is on a male, swap the dad if its on a female swap the base female till its on a male?

You never swap the females at all

All right so let's say that you have a bunch of dodos

You've already bred them until you have a male and a female with all of the highest stats and let's just say for the sake of Simplicity that this makes them a nice even level 250

You breed these two until you have ten female dodos at 250 and a male at 250. In total you have 11 dodos

Your one male dodo is then left to breed with the females. He keeps doing this until you hatch a male dodo at level 252, your first mutation of the line.

The level 250 male is retired and the 252 takes his place. He starts breeding with the females. Some of the babies will be 250, some will be 252. This is fine. You're now on the lookout for 254

It's not guaranteed you'll get the good stats each generation. Just keep them breeding until a baby pops out with the stats you want

It's effectively a coin flip which parent the baby will inherit each stat from with a very slight edge towards the better stats. You just gotta keep rolling the dice until it happens

Don’t be disheartened, the Caves aren’t supposed to be easy, ok you did pick one of the easier ones but the amount of dinos, type and difficulty/lvl they spawn differs from one cave to another, Caves and a Skyla (flying Thyla) are the only times I really die or have a higher chance of dying… ooh and tickling a Titanasaur just wrecked my Voidwyrm and wiped him out in 2 Stomps🤷‍♂️
