Hello, there's someone having problems with exp on dinos in unofficial servers?
Some days ago i started to kill baby carcharodontosaurus to earn exp...from that point some dinos required tons of exp to lev up.
A simple lev 20 carcha, after reaching lev 100 needs 2,5 million of exp to go on...i think that isn't normal.

There is a small chance you will get mutations and that’s when the level goes up

There can be color and stats mutations and sometimes they won’t be visible

this wont work. in fact the % you get is already quite low but what makes it broken is the fact that you can go so hard into it that you will outrun everything and escape any pvp situation

i think hp should be caped cuz it feels unrealistic that big creatures cant kill you easily & u have armor to achieve resistance. Also high hp makes it so you dont die to fall dmg at some cap i think its 460 which doesnt make sense.

Yes and no and it depends.
For creatures like gigas, unicorns and titanos on MOST maps (anything in a 'solo spawner' that only spawns one creature), yes, and the number is very solidly defined
However technically everything does, but it's both very high and very hard to hit. It'd be the limit allowed by the dozens of boxes on the map (each with their own maximum amount) summed together, but since they have to compete with everything else in the area (including the dinos in those solo spawners), they're unlikely to hit it unless you're making a point of killing everything else, or they have a very high spawn weight.

There's a loooot more creatures than just titanos. Thylas, mosas, unicorns, gigas (but carchar is... different), if https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Spawn_entries lists it as being the only thing in the spawn entry it's probably a solo spawner that is only affected by that dino and any child classes of it (like mosa and alpha mosa)

now, Carchars, are their own little mess. Their numbers are affected only by the numbers of the giga spawners, because their spawns work by a method where; whenever a giga is selected to spawn, there is a chance that a carchar will spawn instead. The container still only counts gigas though, so you could have 2 gigas and 30 carchars, or 2 gigas and 0 carchars.
However I belive they currently can't spawn at all if you have Singleplayer settings on lmao

So the raptorpoaclypse is caused by the 2 most volatile systems in ark's spawns; Only Count NPC and Random Replacements

Only Count NPC, as you've described, means that the spawner only checks to see if it's full if it find this dino or a child class of it. If it doesn't see that dino, it keeps trying to spawn because as far as the spawner is concerned, it's empty

The Fear Evoled random replacements for the raptor to skeletal raptor weren't set to exact match. Exact match pretty much means 'if x dino is a child of y dino, count X as Y'. So if you have
Raptor
-> Raptor
-> Skeletal Raptor
-> Alpha raptor

And then you have deinonychus, a child class of raptor. The replacement sees a deinonychus, and goes

Deinonychus
-> Raptor
-> Skeletal Raptor
-> Alpha raptor

..So there's no deinons to fill the container, they all get turned into raptors

This differs from carchars and gigas for a few reasons:

One- Gigas can still spawn, thus allowing the container to fill, and halting the spawns
Two- While in theory, it's possible for the game to choose carchar over and over and over again, never choosing a giga (or having players killing gigas and not carchars), the giga spawner is incredibly slow at spawn attempts. 24 hours per spawn is veeeery slow for a noticable overspawn

it's actually 4 hours for SP settings, but unless you're on a server with SP settings enabled (which is rare), the game might not even be open 4 hours at a time so it might be one carchar every 2-3 days still. It's still slow even on a server with SP settings enabled, which is the only time it might actually become noticable with enough waiting

So to answer that you need to understand the way spawns work. It's with 3 types of blueprints- the spawn volume, the zone volume and the zone manager. Spawn volumes are where it puts the creatures. Zone volumes handle counting. Zone manager is all the other settings. And you can have multiple spawn volumes with only one zone volume (this is how Giga spawns tend to be set up)

Most spawns have one zone manager for each zone volume, so it's a maximum of, say, 2 per spawner. But with 4 spawners, that's 8 total. But gigas, with one zone volume for all spawn volumes, you can have 3 spawn zones (3 spawn volumes) and a limit of 2 in the zone volume. So 2 gigas total, meaning not all spawn zones will have a giga at once

Oh yeah ill also give you a few general warnings that I haven't explained here that are relevant to custom spawns

• There's another few settings for Only Counting- Water or Land dinos. Whether a dino is water or land is a completely arbitrary value ticked in the dino BP. For example, Carbonemys are not a water dino and spawning them in a water spawner (like gen1 swamp water) is likely to result in overspawns. In my experience (120,000 x archelons and r carbos on gen1), this isn't capped by other dinos. The behaviour is more similar to Reapers on the Surface (which i believe was caused by having a limiter of 0, where it just never spawns enough reapers if there's something else in there). You can find if a dino Is Water Dino on Species on Obelisk, but as for what spawners have which requirements, that's trial and error (or just 'notice an overspawn and you can check if it's a water dino')

• The random replacements issue with child classes prevents spawning things like X mosas, X rexes, now R Gigas (thanks carchar 😒 ), deinonychus, dinopithecus, pretty much anything where the parent class has an alpha variant is affected. You need a mod to fix the alpha replacements to exact match to spawn any of those creatures as a result. Only exception to the rule is Valg, LI and Fjordur having exact match raptors (so that the deinons and dinopith can actually spawn lmao), so you can spawn X raptors there as well. And same issue means you can't make tek raptors/rexes, or alphas spawn more often without increasing the spawn rate of the normal version as well!
