hey all, been playing ARK SP for some time, I'm setting up a private dedicated for some friends to play on. I'm testing it alone at the moment, and I've got a weird lag/desync whenever I use a trike charge. https://youtu.be/mFfy7cLFnsw (better illustrated at 0:34 onwards). I've tried two different client PCs (1080 in one, rx6950 in another) and the server is a VM on an epyc 7402, ark server process is around 7% of a core when a player is logged in, all gigabit lan... so this clearly isn't a performance thing. what have I missed?

should you only breed if one side has the mutations

so like 3 health mutations breeding with a "perfect" M/F

and it shouldn't be 3 health breeding with 1 melee etc.

best to keep the different lines of mutations separate. because if you get a melee mutation without a health mutation you either can't use that dino or have to re-do the combination but the counter always goes up.

It's generally always better to have one on your shoulder than not, just be more Vigilant that it's on passive when you're taming things than I am

A good otter makes the whole temperature system irrelevant, bulbies are a free light source and all their other perks, sinos are a cheap jetpack, pegos make people fear you, etc

I tek suit everywhere so I don’t sino. I do use a flock on cave runs however. Otters and ferox I don’t use because my fortitude is good enough and if it happens to be a tad low I use a tek canteen.

IMO the Tek rail gun it awards isn’t even worth building if you’re playing pve. It has a range of like 18 foundations

The ice Titan is where you get the Tek rifle, and that feels like a pretty decent weapon and isn’t that hard on your element

For minimum, look for high health rexes. On hatch should look for close to 12k health and 400 melee. You'll have to breed to get that. Then with full imprint, level tge rexes to about 40k health and 600 melee and have 80+ armor on saddles. Have a yuty with 80+ saddle and over 3k stamina. Tame a daedon with high food. Then level food to about 60k. This is a basic boss run method. You can do most gamma and beta with these stats. Boss fights it will not work on Extinction, Gen 1 or Gen 2. Feel free for anyone to put a different input that may work better.

so i havent played ark for a few months and now im trying to boot the game up again, but any time i try to play singleplayer there is an error message and the game crashes, and the error message has lost island in like every line of error but i dont have lost island currently installed. This is the first time ive had this error and i never had any problems before with errors like this

no clue what the crash message actually means but lost island is the build name, so it has nothing to do with the crash itself.
that being said, you should send the crash message so the people who can actually read crash messages can help without taking time for a response

Actually i think it was because of the rivers, he may flied pass the lava and normal rivers and decided not drop there , it was funny because we invited 2 new friends to play Ark, told them about the event drop, and no gift
