after you build the trap around it, go away from the area let it lost the agro and it wont teleport out from trap, also make sure you have to crouch while approach from behind when trying to feed the fish

You shouldn't be getting kicked from your last tribe in a separate server. Losing your stuff though would be from no one in the tribe rendering it in. Are you on an official server cluster or an unofficial cluster?

So hearing that it shouldnt makes me really consider it now haha! Ive also heard hosting clusters are better anyways to get full advantage of all of the maaaps

Then, as you get mutations you want, on a new male, you replace the previous male with the new male.

Wish I knew on that, not tried them in a boss battle, plus the server I play on is in between normal and single player, so that people can solo most things.

However, generally speaking, I find it overkill is the much safer route. Sometimes, in a boss battle, everything does not go according to plan, so having some buffer on stats usually doesn't hurt.

A little hard to tell from your description, could have been a combination of things for all I know

E.g. finding dinos could be via the vanilla scanner, and they could have added waypoints to them with the Better Waypoints mod

Gamma gen1 is easy, usually. Decent rex will make mincemeat of most of the brutes and races are lenient enough

You dont have to do all gamma missions, you can do some beta and alpha, cuz you just have to hit a certain number to start the boss, not complete all of them

I'm having an issue with artifacts and chests, whenever i put multiple copies of an artifact into a chest it seems to work but later when i check there is only one copy of each artifact in the chest despite me putting multiple into it. Is there a server setting or something for this? Thanks.

(Yes, this reply is late AF but..) Just saw this question and while Sarasecellaterra's replies are valid, I am gonna warn you about the Spy Vs. Spino mission.. do NOT attempt to do the alpha version with gigas (not even the top stat ones), rexes and spinos are also out of the question because that brute alpha spino will wreck them without issues..

Actually it can work with a mate boosted damage capped one, if you keep walking backwards.
I managed to do most alpha missions using a mate boosted one, and it was able to kill the spawns but especially raptor was a near death experience.
Gotta be extremely cautious though on all of them.
The other alpha missions which felt too edgy for a giga (like bloodstalker, I’m not sure what I used for Spino) were kinda okay using damage capped Rexes which were leveled to about 60k+ HP, and me riding a Yuti.
Out of the 25 or so Rexes I used, I lost maybe 2 or 3 in total.
Only reaper queen needs sth like Thyla, Basilisk, etc it’s insane on Alpha.
But yea overall any of those alphas can and will deal a ton of damage

If you have replacement, I’d just try it with a giga (one on passive nearby for mate boost) or Rexes, but don’t take anything into those missions you aren’t willing to potentially sacrifice

I guess carchars could even work, if you boost them up high enough and have imprinted good ones.
They already doing great on OSDs apparently even without being super bred.

@pliant locust the reason I'm saying not to use giga on Alpha Spy Vs Spino (specifically that mission) is because of the Gigas rage.. a few hits from the spino is enough to piss the giga off, and the giga deals like (if I remember correctly) 700-800 dmg per bite, while it takes double up in dmg from the spino.. not mateboosted btw. 1 Top-Stat giga barely makes a dent on the spinos HP. if you're gonna use rexes, I guess maybe 20-ish of them with 100k hp, rest into melee, 124 armor saddles could pull it off, if you're lucky. Also, I'm talking official servers only.

Idk about the numbers, I did all alpha hunt missions before on official, the gigas got close to raging but it did work for almost all of them, if you have like 2500 meele, mate boost for that sweet 30% and obviously imprint buff.
I found that leveling Rexes that crazily in HP wasn’t as beneficial, using more damage instead will kill the spawns on any brute in like less than 30 seconds.

I actually streamed doing those missions on steam official before (had like the same discussion a year ago) because ppl kept not believing it.
Btw I said I don’t remember if I used Rexes or gigas on that specific one (spino) but one of those worked. Don’t take more than like 25 Rexes, rather less (like 15-20) or they bump into each other too much

Except Reaper, all alpha brutes are solo able with gigas or Rexes. Gigas work for most

I have a friend who used to farm the alpha spino mission over and over and over.. but he does not remember how he did it, he thought he was using top-stat spinos.. so I went into SP, spawned in lvl 1500 spinos (2250 or something after tame), bred them for the imprint, pumped the stats up (hp and dmg) to what a top-stat bred one on official would have.. set them to attack the brute spino.. they were dead in a few minutes >_<

while the brute was down at like 70% hp or something XD

Hm I’m not sure how different it is on SP, even on the wiki they recommend using like 10 Rexes ^^
It has about 230k HP (Spino) which is comparable to bosses (who also melt from capped Rexes, which is why I would always prioritize DMG on them, to kill it quicker instead of tanking it for too long)
So if you use a Yuti and have 20 or so Rexes with mostly damage leveled DPSing it, it shouldn’t take too long even with reduction 🙂

Yea I farmed it a couple times, but not more than like 5 times. I did use Rexes at one point that’s for sure (and it worked) but I believe I tested giga, but probably didn’t work it’s been too long lol

Well, I use Shadowmanes myself for that misson, 80k HP and the rest into dmg.. they usualy take 10 - 40k dmg from the full mission.. depending on how fast I get the spino's attention, once that happens it gets stuck against the shadowmanes trying to reach me sitting on my HP rex XD

using like 24 of them.. a bit overkill but I don't mind having a few more for the "wall" between myself and the spino lol

I wonder if you could use a buried reaper to draw their attention actually.
I wanted to test it, because on one of the Gen2 missions (where you have to fight that End-boss in an arena, forgot it’s name) I used a reaper to solo it.
Bury the reaper in front of the „tunnel“ (where you enter the arena) and the boss will focus it but can’t hit it, and then just shoot it with 0 risk involved.
Wanted to test it ever since but keep forgetting lol

The damage is really high on 20x, it’ll still take a bit but if you are out of it’s hit range or the Aggro is on sth else it shouldn’t be too bad. Will still take a while to melt 230k but it’s probably a safe and easy way

I even put many graphics details on lowest possible settings, which will make the footprints stand out very strongly (especially snow during day or swamp are awful) but had to restart some still because of tracks going poof

Long story short dinopith are coded (this is the bug part) to spawn on every map but a feature makes them turn into raptors, however this feature is turned off on valg so deinons (and indirectly, dinopith) can spawn

Fastest is still daedon, especially if it is, as he said, about a group of Dinos.
If you use the glitch with rendering and derendering the daedon for healing and food consumption, it is instant healing and eating

Not hard to make a circle for the owl but if you can't dismount and freeze then yea feeding a pig heaps will work. Shadow stops the owls stam so it doesn't need to eat anywhere near as much

Honestly I never feed an owl, until the torpor is way up lol.
They will still recover stamina super quickly, and don’t need food like daedon to heal.
But when I have to heal up stuff asap, like after missions or for boas fights, I use a daedon and de render it for healing and eating so it’s instant
