shouldnt happen, the level cap is something specifically activated/implemented for official. Also they put a safety mechanims in place, so you cant level any dino over 450 (or 500 respectively) anymore. so more more despawning 🙂
however, you can only have 254/255 points (before leveling, which will only be possible if you have 254 points max, not 255) per stat, and since level is determined by adding up all stat points and then +1, there will be a theoretical hard cap. any dino (thats cheated in for example) that has more than 255 points per stat, will get rolled back to whatever number when you end the game, as its impossible to save that information (regarding the stat points)

so to get your level 80 character from the island to scorched youll need to go to an obelisk or drop and transfer to a scorched earth server.

Walk to the swamp, and scout for a frog. Knock it out and tame it. It's hands down the easiest dino to tame anything from while in early/mid game.

With a frog you can jump up a cliff that even a rex can't follow, and just shoot from there.

99% of ledges have a natural walk way, and iguanodons have a solid jump.

rexes always prioritise herbivores, so riding an iguanodon means that rex wont run away to bite some random parasaur instead

It running away is the ideal outcome though (well apart from traps of course), because then you can just ride your frog after it and shoot while riding it.

it isnt because of the aforementioned trap, and it can run into the likes of an ocean or a more dangerous location. iguanodons quite literally cannot drain stamina in the quadrepedal stance anyway so you can just run in circles and shoot it

Sounds futile to me. You might be able to bleed it to death with the deins by hit and running, but it'll take a while and you probably don't havw high enough level deins to survive the ordeal

i actually dont use a mod as i dont play on the island (i choose one map not too extensive and stay on it to minimize lag etc) bc ive played the island wayyyy too much. but there is one mod in particular that i have seen on the workshop called "custom dino levels"

and i feel as tho that should be what you are looking for

has options like have the rag type of level distribution and such

ofc it has to due with ini settings so it will involve a decent bit of reading

Servers have to have the exact same settings, every little detail, for eggs and cryos to transfer correctly, otherwise they get bugged.
