i saw some people planning a challenge, lunar only, the plan was basically rush to a cave and set up a base then kill yourself/cave inhabitants for food. didnt see it actually happen if at all.

bog and arctic is plenty hard enough though, imo one of, if not, the hardest starts you can get on a map. sure yeah ocean exists but you cant progress through the game with just your stone tools and some cloth armour. the map is designed for you to cross each biome regularly

It’s an absolute must when breeding to have one. You can check their stats before they hatch and if temp so right, it decreases hatch time.

I've hatched quite a few and in my experience (I play singleplayer, pretty boosted stats and I can't rule it out but i don't believe they have much effect on it) you don't HAVE to have the wyvern milk to get them past the adolescent stage, and if one ever wanted it while imprinting and I didn't have any cryopoding and just trying again has always worked 🤷🏻‍♀️

doubt you could get to difficulty 1000 but you could probably get pretty high

just a slight warning that the stat cap is 255 so if your levels are high enough to the point where it goes over that, it can cause some issues.
not sure if taming effectiveness bonus levels also count
