Apparently at some point S+ removed one of the most useful parts of the inventory assistant, where it automatically deleted items on click. Mine only does so after a period of time i can select.

Is there any way to get that original functionality back? It's very annoying to have to wait for a few seconds every now and then because my mining dinosaurs are loaded up with useless rocks

I just made an interesting discovery. Stats are decided on egg creation, but twins are decided on egg hatch. I just had to reload a backup where an egg happened to be in a state just prior to incubation. The first time it hatched a single, but when reloading the backup, twins hatched (with the exact same stats as the single that popped out in the previous single hatching)

also, sex remained the same

yeah, I don't think my Argies are anything particularly special as far as stats go, but he's very effective. The alpha rex took quite some time to kill (i think he was around 25k health) and it took quite a few flights up to the nearest cliff edge to chow down piles of cooked meat, but I got there in the end for a solid dump of XP

I like using traps on flying creatures and for high level early game tames. Things like trikes that will quite easily kill you when you are under level 20, so trapping them is useful. Once you get tranq arrows though, they become much less difficult

trying to trap reapers -> reaper grabs you through or animation takes you through the trap, wasting the impregnation (i have lost so many reapers this way)
trying to trap acros -> tame just straight up doesn't work
trying to trap spiders/bats/etc -> they never deaggro from the trap itself
trying to trap fliers -> time it took them to go in correctly i could have just shot at it and knocked it out

Etc etc etc etc etc etc etc

I guess my bigger peeve is that i see a lot of people use traps and they swear by them so much they become unable to do anything else

They're in a perfect position to tame a rex and they just don't, because they don't have their trap on hand! so they have to go get it, because how else do you tame a rex? but by the time they get the trap and go back, they can't find the rex anymore

Last save I had a pack of 3 Allo's just after I hit L21, couldn't ride the things, but damn they were hilariously useful to have follow me around. Couldn't have done it with anywhere near the ease in which I'd done it without a taming pen

I get it yeah, you can't use traps on everything. Rexes are ridiculously easy to tame on foot if you just have a bit of movement speed. It's not fun relying completely on traps all the time, but they are still insanely useful at times.

personally i dislike having to carry around a load of heavy mats on me, and it's a lot more effort to spend ages putting up a trap then to just tank some hits. there's definitely a few creatures where it's justified thougth

I can count the number of times dododex has been wrong for me on one hand
95% of the cases of "inaccuracy" I see is just people not having correct multipliers or looking a the wrong thing

the one thing I've seen it be wrong about is headshot multipliers though
