Just put the cage down, then put the basket down. After 8 (?) seconds there will be an option on the basket to pick up any nearby fish, ie the fish you just trapped with the cage

well technically, theyre easy to tame

You need a ghillie suit, (if you have it) cactus brew, a fish basket (0.5 or higher), and something like a pack of raptors

do it during the day Kill everything thats NOT a shadowmane with the raptors, and then go up to a sleeping shadowmane with a fish basket in the last inventory slot, and feed it

keep doing this until its done taming

Keep in mind that since you dont have tek armor, if they wake up, youre going to get mauled by a pack of fish lions

If you have the materials, id kill all but one shadowmane at night from a distance, and wait until day to start the taming progress
