140 alpha karkinos right next to a 150 alpha karkinos which killed me a lot
When it eventually died I tried to trap the 140 but the ground was uneven so it didn’t go up. Had to rebuild the trap a total of about 3-4 times because it wasnt going in. Eventually it finally got in the trap and I knocked it out, then I went off to go do stuff while it was starving. Found a 140 wolf, was gonna tame it but accidentally killed it. I turn around to the taming tracker to see how much its starved and the taming tracker is non-existent. I go to the trap and the karkinos is completely gone, with nothing around that couldve killed it

Fun fact, I started the game on the beaches to the East on the island, but I kept using the spawn point that kept dropping me into the swamp, barely built half a thatch home with 1 crate and had that Dilo.

Eventually I just decided "okey maybe the 'easy' spawn points are not that bad of an idea and started my run for good on the south west island.

Fast forward 1,5 weeks of play, an entire second base built, industrial crafting stations set up and stuff. I'm flying around randomly hunting for Trilobites to farm Chitin and out of nowhere my "old base" renders in at the distance, it barely has unfinished roof and crate with useless resources, a campfire, and my Dilo in there with a whole bunch of spoiled meat in inventory.

I was shocked to see that poor little guy was still alive so I killed some parasaurs dropped some fresh meat in it's inventory and temporarily paused the trilobite hunt to just give a lift to poor thing to my new base with the argy and I kept it as a "pet" putting points only into it's HP.

Whenever I try to make a new world on gen2 and then I exit the game and then come back it always crashes and this happens every time and it’s only happening with gen2 so I’m not really sure what’s causing it. the game objectives are similar, some things end up slightly different like growth rates of baby creatures and things that would take place over longer periods of time on a server but that you wouldn't want to leave your game on to wait for in single player

but a lot of it is settings you can change anyway

time doesn't pass while you aren't playing in single player

in a nutshell, you dont have freedom of changing settings or commands in official. if you dont know anybody, then playing on a server is pretty much a downgrade
