Don't be afraid once you get a flyer start flying around, a big tip I have for you if you plan on playing a good amount is to make a greenhouse asap, and try to find some decent priced dinos you can buy on your server with metal ingots. Will save you alot of time.

The more dmg an anky has the more metal you get which is huge starting off.

Fjordur or gen2 have the most content, aberration and gen1 are also really good with less content
Keep in mind gen2 also has the most crashes
