Folks in the scene aren't exactly too down for some of the obvious and more common negative aspects of 40K and MTG fandom.

They unironically aren't welcome. The people that go there and the people that run the place are very sincere about keeping that kind of mess out of there to an end. The broader attitude of some of those spaces in the local area also has overlap with people that also just have to back up any of that energy with substance outside of a ttrpg.
