It was hard for me to troubleshoot this when my settings got reset. In my case, I think 2 things helped:

1. I actually had to increase the quality of things (you'd think that you should decrease quality to improve performance, but increasing it actually made things better)
2. Playing with "AMD FSR 3.1" / "Intel XeSS"... Whatever those are, they seem to be good at making the computer more efficient at making things look good. So they help.
   (I don't know what the 'official advice' is, but this is what helped me)

I still haven't tried Vet so I don't know why everybody poo-poos on them. But from my perspective as a mostly-zealot-sometimes-psyker: Psykers are delicate wimps who can easily die. While Vets are pretty durable, and are built to shoot enemies at a mass scale, so vets should kill a lot, and never really experience any damage because they stand at the back, shooting. So I think vets are pretty good...

He has the least visually outstanding kit but he can easily outdamage a Zealot and be on par with an Ogryn, more or less, because of raw damage. He has no magic powers, dog companion, or the stupidity of the Rumbler, but Vet is the personification of "You see that?" "Yes" "I don't want to see it anymore" "Got it"
