A crit on Void with surge does 175% more damage. Unless it's a crusher or boss, a ton of this will be overkill.(The calculation is different for non weakspots, but the general premise is the same.)
At perfect peril edging, you have an extra 20% crit from nexus.
That's 35% more DPS.
War Flurry at Max stacks gives 25.5% more DPS.
Less overkill, less overlap with true aim. More true aim stacks. So the actual increase is more than 25.5%.
It also feels better and requires less skill.
Of course you should still edge for warp rider and other reasons, but it definitely could be easier.
