Servers have been lagging a bit, you probably only shrieked client-side in time.
You can blow up while disabled, but I don't think it causes it to instantly do it.

Problem with LMB staff is that it's mediocre against everything and can't deal with crusher/bulwarks well.
It can fight hordes decently but it's not the best at it, it can kill every elite/special but also needs to be aimed right
And it's being helped massively by the warpfire talents when doing so

I think it's because rager attacks have too short range and too fast animation speed. If you stand within its reach, your dodging animation won't be fast enough to get out of its range after the attack animation begins, which is probably the definiton of successful dodging.

The others if you try to stay close and dodge still hit you since they're wide swings...dodging from in range to out of range isn't giving it.

Yeah that could be it. AFAIK only dodging from attacks that lock on you counts as successful dodging. Maybe the first few rager attacks don't have a target locking property.

I just upgraded a trauma randomly and got salvo blessing, for some reason it performed well. Realized I've no real clue how many of the staff-blessings work, because they're verbally a bit off worded somehow.

Yeah the +25% damage perk is mostly used to push your breakpoint on heavy hitting weapons. Prioritize taking the one that lets you one-shot or two-shot something you can't otherwise.

Mostly...though if you insist you could do Rending + Nexus if you want to Left-click spam more damage and just right click to stagger/knockback.

Basically for all staves other than trauma, flurry + nexus is the way to go (Surge is also a top pick for voidstrike). Trauma is a bit complicated, depending on what you go for.
