It works for me because I like inferno anyway, and with that much gunner threat, I feel safer with bubble than shriek.

That's how I use Assail with scrier's. Just throw all 10 whenever I have max peril

Also, there's a certain range and set of conditions where it's better to smite a group of enemies, drop em, and engage in melee rather than burn bullets, I found.

For example, gunners are attempting to reposition, but they're within smite range and I can't get shot by anything else if I decide to get chopping.

Yeah that's how I was getting to abuse psyk aura. One full charged sweep after a smite and I manage to kill 3-4 elites, and I've still got 10s of waiting on the cooldown on top of that because of warp unbound.

Yes, extremely so. It's very mobile and covers the lack of mobility of not-mobile weapons, like thammer.

It also has a sickening finesse bonus so you can still 2-3 shot elites without compromising on damage. Just hit your headshots and you're golden.

If you want to tryhard, I highly recommend you guys to use some addons (for example TrueLevel). Especially in LFG for high content gaming. You can reasonably expect from players having at lest 200/300+ prestige on a character to do relatively good overall. Even if it's not an absolute guarantee of success. On the other hand, you will find lots of players flexing with titles and cosmetics on their alt characters, which can lead you to think they're playing good with it (and it's not the case at all).

so like the relic swords have two versions. Version 1 whcih you get earlier: L1 L2 H3 H4 for horde, H1 H2 L3 L4 or something for heavy? then spam the end attacks. It's got a weird pace to it.

Version 2: L1 L2 L3 is optimal hordeclear despite the L3 being a stab, simply because of speed(despite it wanting some sort of push attack cancel technique). I don't offhand remember the heavy combo, but you really should play with a melee weapon in training first to learn the combos before playing with it in practice.

you dump damage on flamer because the damage stat only effects the primary small puff of fire and it only goes up by 3 to 4 damage the uptick is negligible so you're better off with the dump stat in damage than mob
