Mostly single target, but it's versatile
It has high mobility which makes it easier to maneuver, high Finesse which affects weak spot and critical damage

I would use laspistol.
Any good anti armor melee should be paired with a good anti shooter gun, and laspistol especially pairs well with chaxe because it is significantly more mobile than other choices.

I tend to save full auto for specialist/elite crowds, but my build is geared specifically for boss damage. I use Voice of Command, left and middle red nodes, Bring It Down, and Focus Target with Redirect Fire
I ping the boss, get close, shout, then unload full auto into the head, adjusting as needed in order to land every round on the head. On Heresy, this tends to kill, and on Damnation it chunks off about 80% of the bosses HP if every shot lands

PSword is fairly simple: The meat and potatoes of the weapon are the energized swings, which you get when using the special. Power Cycler blessing is mandatory because it adds more swings to it. Second Blessing can be Brutal Momentum. Use the Mk 6 version. Push attack to double light attack for single target, and lights or heavies for horde clear. Aim for the head, it does more damage (as all melee does).
