Well most games I play are... old, so my GPU is usually just sleeping, I actually have to put FPS limits as a sanity check in some of them so I don't have my machine drawing like 500-600 FPS for no reason which heats up the CPU more than the GPU. In helldivers for example its still the case where my GPU is sleeping drawing 144 FPS but my CPU is like sweating 85 degree celcius

I think there is a darktide config that makes you potato the game for massive gains but don't think it would help much with cpu limits either

Well I wasn't trying to be antagonistic, I was just frustrated that I can't connect for seemingly no real reason, and the game refuses any type of single player, which would solve my problem if it did.
