Me and my team are doing havoc dark communion but it isnt ending any help?
Back dodges, for the most part, get you in trouble with the enemy you're trying to dodge
Ragers put enough pressure that I like using some kind of CC on them, but Ainz probably has the trick down to interrupting them with any melee
Things like assail, tactical axe specials, explosives and revolver shots all give you a "no no" to use on ragers

If you have any other party finder option selected, you cant select the havoc one
Press e (or click on it in the bottom corner) to reset your filters then you should be able to select it

They are coded not too but sometimes enemies will still finish their attack combo while you are grabbed
Certain enemies dont have that restriction for specific attacks
Gunners and reapers will still melee you if you are within range
Same with flamers (but they can also yknow flame you)
And plenty of other specialists
Same is the case for basically any other grab too
Bosses also dont have that restriction either

they range from grey blue and green but I discard them all together for mats and get only money

@fresh ocean is asking questions that I can only explain from experience
Enemy melee attacks are not always perfectly synced with their animations, and they have tracking on your player character’s model
Dodges disable that tracking, so most melee attacks (the ones that don’t have AOE) can be avoided by dodging regardless of direction
The AOE melee attacks (like overheads) have to be dodged where you’re outside the AOE, otherwise you’ll still be hit
there's mods that highlights their AOE overhead attacks
Crusher and mauler both have 2 overhead attacks (normal and moving)
The moving overhead attacks are better dodged to the side since they’ll move forward while doing them
It’s usually a good idea to dodge at the start of the enemy’s attack animation windup

I don't have issues identifying what attack is about to happen I have issue identifying how big hurtboxes are. Are some attacks wider? Are some more narrow and go further straight? A mod to highlight that would be great but relying on feeling alone is kind of hard for consistency when visuals are meant to be relied on

Basically only overhead attacks have AOE (among melee attacks) afaik
rest you'll have to do a best guesstimate
Some bosses have AOE overheads too (chaos spawn, plague ogryn, captains)

Idk im just trying to make the process of not getting hit enjoyable but the fact the game lack consistency on that and we don't even have visuals is just a horrible feeling

every level past that has been punishing
we were o nthe big windmill map, pushed past the windmill
immediately the twins spawn with a burgle
the H40s say we are suppose to back up, but even in the open, i dont know how to fight all 3 and a mob
in such a situation, theres usually someone of the 4 of you made for horde clear, its their job to take care of the horde. that leaves the other 3 to take on the bosses, based on priority. burgle, twins, makes melee twin highest priority of the three. then either burgle or ranged twin, depends on what everyone just goes for
i was playing ogryn, so i tried to taunt, throw a few boxes into the horde
and distract the melee twin
but ya, not everyone was on mic to coordinate
and two of us werent like... super expereinced to just 'know'
it was H26, but it was crazy how much meat we had to push through for many of the rooms
prior to that we tried 3 attempts at H23 with rotten armor and final toll
and it was just... miserable

havoc difficulty imho is a bell curve
havoc 30 and havoc 40 is the same, havoc 30-39 is more difficult than 40 because most people will be climbing to 40

it turns 30 to 50
a lot of it also comes down to unlucky director trolling
though I do prefer pox gas over Blight Spreads
(both suck)
blight spreads is manageable with zealot's beacon of purity
pox gas is floor is lava, except everything is lava

In general
You lose some singletarget and mobility but gain incredible mixed horde clear
relic blade probably has best horde clear as a melee on zealot, but those rotten armor crusher will make or break a havoc run
someone in the team will have to do the dirty job once ammo runs low
Just run fat zealot or something idk
I mostly run scum nowadays and dual shivs really kill anything

what's the difference between mod 4 bolt pistol and mod 6 bolt pistol?
Og has more damage and slight penetration, new mark has lower damage, less ammo and explodes on hit so no penetration but better CC radius. The explosion damage is really bad though.
In 99.5% of cases, the OG is better.
If you are only playing malice... then heh.
I can't answer that off the top of my head, but I remember I started taking way less damage when I started hugging enemies while dodging
if you want explody - the explody variant of the bolter aint bad

Well it would make sense if hurtboxes are only directly infront of the enemy but I don't know if hurtboxes follow the enemies arm or if those hurtboxes are just a rectangle infront of the enemy
Like some games have enemies swing a weapon and that hurtbox follows the weapon so with iframes you should dodge through that attack to lower the amount of time your hitbox is in their hurtbox
Now some people claimed iframes don't exist but then you can dodge crusher aoe attacks without leaving their aoe range
Perhaps not technically iframes but something is making it so that attack won't hit
It's kind of that they don't* exist
And since it's Fatshark, the game isn't entirely consistent

One of the best displays of how tight attacks can be is actually trying to defend against a rager crowd targeting another ally: you just don't

Max I've seen was 2 people get clapped at once, but 4 can happen and it even works through walls
the only aoe attacks are the overheads on mauler and crusher then some boss moves

Aoe attacks are what I can most consistently dodge without leaving the hurtbox range and be okay
The reason I'm mentioning the rager is to say that it's less like the traditional hitbox attack, and more like a lock-on that you break when dodging
But for some reason enemies have a harder time with sideways dodges than backwards ones

because if its just a narrow but long hurtbox forward it makes sense it hits the player

Like i've never seen hit detection like that so I'm not sure if its the actual games way of handling hurtboxes or its a interpretation from the mod maker
rager is lock-on to 1 player but not AoE. easier to backstep than to dodge to the side their attacks because they sweep and track so well. If they are attacking someone else you are safe to engage them unless there are 14 others as is often the case.

it sweeps but it won't hit other players they are not locked onto. Just makes it harder for the locked on player to escape each swing unless they back away.

there absolutely is some level of iframes
you can pin yourself against a wall and dodge enemy attacks and not just aoe attacks
it's more forced miss than iframes
there are apparently two hurtboxes
you take it like a man
one that you will always get hit and one that if you are dodging in you will never get hit
rager is not undodgeable, but most dodges will leave you open to follow up sweeps at some point, especially if you try to sidestep them in a corner, more so if there is more than one at a time on you
I mean im sure you can always side dodge a single rager but doing several idk
its probably best to get some distance
dodge without holding block and see how often you get hit just sidestepping. The best thing about a single rager on you is how little stamina chip they do. The worst thing is once they start they just can't stop the DPS 😛
Two hurtboxes exist for ragers. The red smaller one you will always take damage even if you dodge. The green bigger hurtbox will only damage you if you don't dodge in it. You don't have to leave the range you just need to time the dodge

because dodging breaks tracking so even if that hit does hit its not tracking you
more like impractical assuming you aren't playing with a dagger and dodge talent tree buffs
but also some attacks only count as one hit

Depends how close you are cause the hurtbox is a cone and is a lot smaller the closer you are to the rager

but for some reason bulwarks hurtbox actually follows the weapons swing instead of just using one big cone as the attack

Watching/Talking with people better then you might help in finding your weakness

what are some resources for improving mobility
4 things to think about
1: weapon mobility. Some weapons have base higher stats making you move faster or have more dodges while.holding them
2: talent mobility (mettle on psyker gives you move speed after landing a crit)
thats too many things
3: side dodging (conserves stamina and depending on weapon is faster then sprinting)
4: terrain/hight differences
Dodging sideways from a higher point will throw you, keeping your dodge momentum
i think i may have been relying on dueling sword too much for kiting

Hey, everyone. I’m new here and I’m hoping I’m in the right place to find experienced teams who are willing to play high level content. Most of my friends stopped playing sadly, and I’ve become exhausted from getting rejected from almost every single Havoc entry request, only because I haven’t done a 40 that week. I’ve completed numerous 40’s and I’m trying to make the climb for myself, but it’s feeling more and more impossible. Hopefully I can meet some new players here who might be willing to help. can inferno staff agro daemonhost? Everyone was pushed up on the daemon host and i was behind them shooting a little fire and it agro'd onto me and killed me. I don't get why me being the most careful resulted in me being punished

Alright thanks, another question, is there a universal advice on how to fight leutenants? Sometimes some of us stay alone (mostly our arbites players) and it can be a bitch to solo them. They managed a few times but it's pretty rough, esp the melee leutenant. The ranged one is more or less free
- They have super-telegraphed attacks
- Swarm that bitch like ants on candy
usually block and dodge the mines
If you can let your teammates handle the LT while you clear hordes or you handle the LT and let your team clear chaffs
Tell someone to clear the room if they can via blits or kill chaff
the more clear room the better you live

Rinda is pretty agile and has few strikes that hits you hard but the best way to deal is learn her telegraphed attacks mainly the fast melee attack chain and charged attack that will glow bright
The fast attack chain can be blocked and it costs very little stamina
U never wanna solo them.
Once u get split in a bossfight in havoc its usually over.
You can solo them easy enough, rodin is more of a pain because of his tox nades

yeah solo is one thing, but if you have to deal with the twin and a bunch of stuff its a real check
I found that a dedicated single target weapon works the best on twins.
More often than not people bring their general builds, which aren't amazing at dealing with bosses.

anyone have any idea why my game keeps stuttering when hordes show up? on a 275hx and 5080 mobile and don't usually have problems with other games, but i keep getting stutters when set to 1080p medium, motion blur off, and no framegen/raytracing
also set to 8 worker threads so darktide only uses my p-cores but that hasn't helped

driver is fully up to date, can't really downgrade as gpu is new and old drivers really sucked for 50 series

Thanks for the tip. We do usually find Rinda a little bit more troublesome, is there a way to maximise dps against her when ur left alone? Say you managed to split them for around 10 seconds and while Rodin is walking towards you. Any advice or just hit her while she's charging sword and hope for the best?

Also yesterday we played a havoc 25 map yesterday on the bridge in the throneside discrict, first room after spawn we get leutenants + 2 bosses, we somehow manage to kill it all and didnt wipe and the rest of the map we were bombarded with daemonhosts
it was like 2 or 3 hexbound daemonhosts and 4 (!!!) usual ones. Around halfway through the map there was a hexbound daemonhost with another daemonhost sleeping right next to it so we had to aggro and kill him before going for the hex one

Sticky Hands near the top will help you with accuracy on the dual pistols and to whip them out. If you aren't going to snipe much with pistols you could take In Your Face to help them burst down mid-range targets.
You can always get damage in between all of her attacks besides the Combo move
how do havoc missions work? what is the difference between playing havoc compared to auric/auric maelstrom?
they have a different set of modifiers that are unique to havoc
also a lot of hidden ones that scale with the havoc difficulty
they're all also hosted by someone, there's no matchmaking
also how do the havoc ratings work. it automatically put me at 16 and i dont really know what that means
you normally start at 1, but can get a boost to 16 if you complete an auric maelstrom

Hi! I have a very noob question. I see a lot of people talking about mods, some of them even defined as "essential". Aren't mods supposed to be bannable?
But isn't having mods that change stuff in the game considered cheating? It should be! I just red of mod removing fog in vent purge.

It's easier to do a lot of penances with a team that know you're doing the penance, rather than randoms
You are better to play the game normally as well
As you get further experience you will get to complete the penance without even noticing

just like soulblaze and burn it damages shield, bleed damages hp through shield
According to kuli's guide it's Adm vs void shields is 0.1, so it does only 10% damage

theres the weapon inspect where you can see the light and heavy attack damage values
but otherwise just take the weapon into the psykanium and mess around with it
I mean if there are set combos, where a variation of Light and Heavy attacks in a specific order does something different
When you inspect it shows the chain attacks, which I assumed were these combos, but it seems like I was wrong
there are different attacks yes, depending on the weapon they do different things, and can sometimes access attacks you wouldnt get to by spamming

with this setup and shivs, should i be spamming lights or heavies in a horde?
What mark be using?
lights for little guys, and heavy's for ragers, etc. and it would make it even better if you have hyper critical in your talents

You can spam light combos on scab shooters, gunners and etc
With rampage on i just lightspam everything to death while teleporting across the map with those silly big dodges

I wouldn't bother with them early if all you're getting is bot teammates
1: ignore that mission or beat it on the lowest difficulty.
2: Look for a group on this server to get a team
3: Play other mission and get max level/gear and come back with more experience

ASM has unnecessarily high ADMs to flak and carapace and probably has more cleave then Taxe without BM. The downside is the less mobility in dodges and the low unyielding damage which is where taxe plays better
So I'd say context for what difficulty matters for determining "the best"
Auric or a non monster maelstrom probably ASM
Havoc or monster maelstrom probably Taxe

Zealot's flamethrower burn DoT stacks and Psyker's soulblaze DoT interaction.
Do they apply separately each other to one entity, or just added up each other as a one DoT. (*i.g 1, burn 16 + soulblaze 16 or i.g 2, burn + soulblaze total up to 16)
soulblaze and burn are different dots
they dont interact with each other
you can have 31 of each on 1 targer
(I think 31 is cap, I forgot the exact number)
they do seem to have 16 stacks max each
but, in system in game, they do show up as 15
soulblaze cap is 31, but the staff has a different cap

can horde exhaustion in havoc imply that the amount of hordes is limited? Can blockade hordes be exhausted? And how much does the horde count refill, and is it more beneficial to just exhaust hordes all the time?
Hordes do not exhaust like they do on uprising to damnation. There's always a ticking clock to a random horde spawn.

i got a penance for completing a mission "on Heresy thread on the Auric Mission board"
Auric used to be a separate modifier for either Heresy or Damnation difficulties, now it's it's own difficulty
auric used to be like a seperate mission board which had only heresy-damnation missions. It added a hidden modifier which increased hordes and special/elite spawns, and the auric board never had low int missions. they have since changed auric to be its own difficulty
so that penance is an old leftover

yeah and they also gave auric the same type of horde spawns that havoc has, being timing based instead of how far you've traveled across the map

I can't find players in general and the bots never make it into the arena cause they bug out on the elevator. So more often than not I'm true solo in it.

I have some plans to give suggestions or feedback regarding levels for Dukane campaign that encourages to use Fixed weapons emplacements that were used heavy weapons models. It revolves around the more we fight dregs and scab strongholds is the moment we would encounter bunkers with those types of weapons. I am thinking we could use heavy weapons as a objective to capture and use against the heretics or its just props we can use to clear sections of a map

I won't lie, chief, I don't think that'll ever happen. I'd love for it to happen, but in my opinion, Fatshark are very peculiar about the type of gameplay loop they want players to have, and such emplacements would kinda stick out from the curated experience that we currently have. I'd love to be proven wrong on that, though
An emplacement encourages not moving and if you don't have 4 you get friction from people fighting over them
You could maybe engineer a defense section that ends with your emplacements getting destroyed
Something similar in concept to the fart room halfway through orthrus
You want to do everything in your power to discourage not advancing when its time to advance though

You could also do some emplacements while part of the team does objectives like the syncronistors on interzone void but i doubt that would coordinate well since i've never seen a team try and reset the things without them burning out lol

Mark is more op if you chase kills. The other lets you spam desperado/rampage without care if you do 1 node stim.
Never go chem dependency on supply, it's kinda conflicting and ends up pretty meh.

You can Thammer them normally. Only diff is they will kill all 4 players instead of scoot off after 1.

Like if there is ever a time I want to get a new weapon I can just buy from Brunt and upgrade it at Hadron, with more min maxed stats than what Melk normaly offer as I can just keep on buying at Brunt untill I get the stat spread I want.

power level matters for health and toughness too, but they give what they show in terms of percentages

For ganger, psyker and vet maybe. Is to help them not be 1 shotted.

I ran out of melk bucks to get more 21% HP and ended up with 4 of 17% toughness instead

revive zealot was already in my playstyle, I just wasn't used to mk2 relic blade

I play with like one other so got used to either 2 bots or up to 2 lemmings.

you might not want them now but you might later
the higher your level the harder it is to get those
also, the lower its power level, the more expensive overall it would be to level to max, and waiting until 30 will allow you to get weapons that are already a higher power level, therefore being cheaper 
but if you have one thats perfect, there isnt much harm in spending the extra to max it out, if you dont mind a little extra resource grinding

the cheapest method to upgrading as well is, replace perks and blessings first, then empower, rather than empowering first and replacing perks/blessings after
