That’s really nifty! It’s a really big shield of safety. I noticed extra things on top of this.

For instance, you are immune to corruption while having over toughness. If for some reason you were jumped by a hound, or hit by a buster after applying the shield, you will not take corruption damage until the toughness fades.

This is especially funny to watch with the dog because they only do corruption damage, so you will not take any damage.

i think sawing damage is the damage per tick during the sawing animation and the rip damage is the big burst at the end

but all the damage sticks to em even if whoever youre hitting runs too far away from you before the animation ends so honestly it doesnt really matter

i get caught out all the time by hordes or random half-dozen sacks of specials/elites.

its a meh blessing and recommended blessings for the combat axes, including the Antax is Headtaker/Decimator and Brutal Momentum

as for general gameplay loop id probably say to not rely too heavily on your blitz (grenade skill) too much

smite is good for controlling big crowds and assail is good for clearing them, but its a better idea to use them as a supplement to your melee and ranged combat rather than the main course

brain burst should be pretty to understand as a conventional burst damage style ability

learn to melee, dodge, understand audio cues like mutant spawns and trapper guns

not sprinting all the time is a pretty big one i think, especially since a large part of melee combat relies on you having at least some of it

a general template for a good loadout is something like

something for horde clear
something for quick burst damage (ie killing ragers)
something for armor or shields

using a gun on psyker isnt something i see an awful lot of people do, especially since staffs are so nice to use

i like trauma staff to deal with anything in that third criteria but thats just a personal thing

usually playing a match or two in a difficulty that isnt too easy for you is enough for you to figure out which of those conditions your loadout hasnt covered

I assume you're referring to when you try to start the game? There's no solution to that other than repeatedly attempting to log in.

Sometimes it takes 20 minutes of attempts. Sometimes it works in 30 seconds.

Fatshark doesn't restart their servers very often, so errors like this inevitably pile up.

I have a question about dodging and network latency, as it feels like the better my connection the harder it is to dodge, and when it's really good like the match I was in half an hour ago at 4am, I am being caught by everything even mid dodge.

Are there any .. idk, tricks or anything to this? Should I stick to matchmaking outside of the EU late at night just so I can dodge better at the cost of sluggish performance elsewhere?

Also does double or triple dodging when there are multiple threats effect how the dodges are processed? Like if I am dodging one thing shouldn't that prevent another thing from getting me the moment that dodge ends?

Dodge is a bit wonky, but mostly try to dodge out of the way

It's a bit of a limbo between iframes and an actual physical dodge

Just play on as hard of a difficulty as you can maintain a good pace thru the level. You’re looking for quick mission completion; any downs or deaths are gonna cost you dockets/hour

Hi damage and pen (you want it to kill the special behind that poxer). I think it’s got Mobility, if so that’s the dumpstat (but you still want some, so you will only be down one effective dodge).
Classic flakiac for the perks. That will cover most elites and specials.
I think it’s got Surgical, which you will want for a little extra damage (altho I think the revolver has secret snap-to-enemy ADS, I’ve found it almost impossible to miss quick ADS shots). As for the other Blessing, I’m not sure, but if you want to reload-cancel and run a short magazine, you can try Crucian Roulette

It depends on how long it takes you to complete missions. If it takes you twice as long, that’s not worth the extra dockets. (I don’t know exactly how much extra you get, but it is not double what you get for normal)

seems quite close, i see special cons giving as much as 20k++ dockets per mission

If you can complete those missions efficiently without wasting too much time struggling with the enemies (or moving slowly and cautiously thru low visibility), they will be your best rate of dockets/hour

But if you’re eating floor, or needing to backpedal and kite, or if you fail the missions, it might be better to try the lower difficulty and sail thru missions quickly and efficiently

It’s like 4AM here, so I can’t give you a math example, but if you screenshot a representative sample of both types of mission, you can divide the total dockets by the minutes to give you a rate of dockets per minute.
The tricky part is getting a representative sample…

Braced Autos are good for close quarters but can't ADS; Infantry Autos are good all around assault rifles, headhunter are burst or semiauto

1. Get good base weapon in the hourly shop or roll brunts or melks (not random buy melks), should have good spread of stats, some weapons have better tolerances than others for their stats (like if it has mobility and defence you have 2 dump stats to work around).
2. Upgrade and hope you score at least 1 perk and 1 blessing you want
3. hopefully upgrade to completion and get at least 2 out of the 4 perk/blessings slots naturally rolled to what you want
4. rebless/reperk the remainder

that said god rolls not necessary for even auric maelstrom, I've over 1k hours, and maybe have like 10-15 weapons total that are what I'd call near god rolls and none that are literal godrolls. There are many weapons dont rely on a T4 perk to hit a breakpoint vs a T3 perk for example, and oftentimes having a proper T3 blessing wont make or break a run vs having the T4 equivalent.

Also some weapons are easier to roll than others, if a weapon has a pool of 11 blessings, you now have a 1 in 11 chance of getting the blessing you want, vs a weapon that has 4 or 5 blessings.

Thrust + Slaughterer or Headtaker for blessings

Look for high rolls in Damage First Target and Penetration

Hammer can run either the Relic or the Charge build with Martyrdom or Momentum

Avoid Stealth (gimmick) and the crit talents because th is not a crit weapon and wants POWER blessings

It will be hard to roll an ideal TH so the only two must-haves for TH are Unyielding perk for Bosses and Ogryn elites, then Thrust which gives power on demand in a vacuum without needing to hit or kill anything

2nd perk & 2nd blessing will be nice to have but not easy to acquire due to the RNG crafting system

Hello im new and I'm just a bit unclear about weapons, each weapon has its light and heavy attack rating listed, but to my knowledge it seems that certain weapons never get anywhere near other weapons in those numbers. I understand that a large part of that is likely weapon type differences, but the difference seems to be excessive perhaps? (seemingly) I'm finding that one weapon in particular just seems better than others

It's not very apparent at the begining but inspect your weapons, as it causes the game to bring up a screen that displays the stats of the weapon in a way that helps you understand more clearly what each number means. Hovering above the information you're curious about gives a more indepth pop up menue that explains just what about your character and weapon is affected and by how much. an excellent example is the mobility stat on some weapons, which means while you have that weapon held in your character's hand, you'll move faster but otherwise doesnt affect the performance of the weapon. That makes mobility stat an excellent bonus but not the highest priority when making the decision of what weapon hits your enemies the hardest.

It usually can't process all of them.. The bottle neck case is rare, unless you use a core 2 duo.

To check the potential capabilities of your CPU at generating frames you can run the game on the lowest setting with lowest resolution - here you will see almost all of the frames your CPU produces.

Then, when you add graphics settings you load your GPU and, hence you see less frames

Since you're already drafting something capable of dealing with capital threats

looks decent, 8% elite dmg is not ideal, i'd swap carapace dmg to something else like maniac, unyielding, or even infested to help with hordeclear, but that's personal preference. the damage modifier is a bit low but it should be good enough. my thunder hammer with 76% dmg has the same numbers because of the low first target so it probably evens out. plus the blessings are solid

I was mainly look for an all around hammer that will deal with elites (in general) > bosses. While also being able to handle hordes with shotgunners and normal gunners. From tests with my weaker hammer I wasn't getting much results with my build using unyielding. However I will try to change up a couple of things and switch it over to unyielding now that I have Headtaker on this one and see if the results are better for my set up.

You just want 75% damage on it once you hit end game.
That said inspect your weapons to figure out what is important for your weapon

it will stun eevrything except monsters and mutants

you can solo 10 crushers, 20 maulers and a full horde plus specials with little effort

since the radius on the crusher's stun is large enough to stagger literally everything before it uses their special attack

That's because people love placebo and messing with with the RT settings will actually screw your lighting

rtxgi_scale in particular will cause blockish flickering if set below 0.5

and it does cause flickering even at 0.5 or above with regards to things like fire and whatnot, though I don't really notice it

Funnily enough, the time the game ran the best in recent memory was when I deleted the config file and had the game make a new one with the default settings

I went from stuff like very low-res textures and 0.02 LOD to much higher values and my game was running better

Turns out random players messing with random shit in the game files can end worse than the defaults the people who created the game have set

Not that there isn't the possibility the settings can be optimized somehow, but I think one thing is very common with config tweak posts, and it's that they rarely have actual in-depth explanations for what does what and how the settings correlate to each other

As per my own aforementioned experience with textures and LOD, less doesn't guarantee more FPS if I so happen to have messed something else up

And my mess ironically costed me more frames while using a GPU that kinda struggles with the game

And it gives me a hint that maybe my problem wasn't tied to textures and LOD, or at least not as much as I thought it was

Or there's also the possibility that the default config became better as the game got updated

When I use my Vraks autogun headhunter and I literaly cant see shit when a flamethrower shoots at me cause the flames not only covers my entire screen but they also crash my FPS

Shotgun question. Its special attack is to load and fire an incendiary round.
From what I can tell, it inflicts burn on one enemy, and I suppose it's weaker against carapace.
So, I'm not sure what the raison d'etre of this attack is seeing as if it's more effective against unarmored folks... then a regular blast would work just as well? 🤔
