I guess this is related to all of Opera. Make an Opera GX Touch (Mobile) version that works well with jackbox type games. All mobile Opera versions have a scrolling issue for drawing based games. Plus gaming phones exist. They should have access to a mobile gaming browser that can pair with it's desktop counterpart

Some people have been scammed by eneba.com, the website promoted in GX Corner in the Deals Aggregator section. Some of the deals seem too good to be true. They sell used steam keys sometimes. My suggestion is to just remove their integration completely, just to ensure that some don't get scammed.

When using the screenshot feature, fix the page. When you are screenshoting and go too far to the upper or lower border of the page, the page scrolls up or down, this brings many problems to the screenshot.

I'd prefer a way to make exceptions for certain pages which don't take well to Opera's forced-dark treatment, actually. Maybe put that in "page-specific permissions". It would make sense, and at this point it's about the only thing stopping me from abandoning the Dark Knight Extension.

Bonus points for making it a toggle I can slap on a toolbar.

I can't actually think of a reason to "force light pages" because I don't have an overwhelming desire to stab the bejesus out of my corneas. Though if this more relates to people with color-blindness or other sight related problems, there's another suggestion: Force High-Contrast pages.

now i have a few suggestions:

the bg sound is like that weird elevator music and i would really love it if we could add our own bg music (maybe like a spotify integration or maybe we could add our own downloaded tracks
2)the bg music runs even on the bg (now i dont wanna close my browser but i dont want the music) so if u could make it like when we minimise the window the bg music stops
how abt a spotify integration in the sidebar... would be pretty cool
4)for some reason duckduckgo doesnt work that well on operagx... might wanna look into that
It would be cool if you add more to the customise fonts thingy... didnt quite get the proper experience with that

Me gustó muchísimo el Opera GX, lo descargué hace 2 meses y me convenció, lo puse como navegador predeterminado, pero a mi parecer solo falta una cosita y es el traductor de páginas, ya que aunque hay una posibilidad de tener el traductor de google en Opera GX, no es tan bueno, ya que a veces demora en traducir o ni siquiera traduce las páginas y cuando te metes a otra opción de esa página se cambia de nuevo al otro idioma. De resto todo está muy bien, ¡Gracias por crear Opera GX! 🙂

There's a problem with the GX Corner, when it's in the corner you can close it with CTRL + W, I think that shouldn't be possible because after that, you can't re open it as a tiny square in the tabs (as the picture shows).

That's already included in the browser- and a lot of browsers, more or less. If you see this little icon, it triggers a second "player window". Though you said "with audio-only" I think, and's not something I've seen yet, interestingly enough- basically the ability to break out a set of transport controls just for audio- sans image.

Hello OperaGX, I come to give you a recommendation or complaint, a few months ago I left Opera to be in Opera GX and what happens is that on pages of online games per browser it gets slow (low fps), compared to Opera (Normal) I hope you can enter and make your conclusions, if there is a solution for it and it is my mistake, I would appreciate a hand to solve it.

Can we please have a cleaner look on the browser? The current style looks old and not minimalistic, like Chrome is. Can we have support for custom theming?
For example; we should be able to change the entire layout and design of the the browser, maybe allow us to change the style of the page in pages like chrome://settings or something, it would be a very unique feature.

Hi, just a lil' suggestion which is when GX detect there's QR code, it will ask the user to open the new window to show QR code but the color pages will be lighter so can scan smoothly.

The reason I give this suggestion it is because I can't scan Whatsapp web QR code, just because there's a setting, Force Dark Pages will cause us can't scan Whatsapp QR Code (maybe because of color matches) but I'm not sure the other QR code can be scanned or not.

To be able to control the volume of the eyelashes individually
That in the Quick Access the pages that we have added, the text that appears by the icon of the web can be changed since in some cases the text does not look right
Adding an option to enter a hexadecimal color code to change the color of the entire browser would be great

And just like facebook.com if I take the icon of the web itself, enclose the one that looks good in a red box and those that look bad from the text in a yellow box

To put into perspective, I forgot a site where I downloaded something that I need a password for; I can't find the name, but I looked back the date the file was downloaded; and I have 2 months worth of scrolling to do; each day is like, a minute's worth of scrolling - so that's a hour of scrolling basically. I love every music that you are planning to add. So why not add all of them? Let us choose which one we want to listen and play it when we open. Later on when we get bored of the music, We should be able to change it. Just add a menu that allows us to change which music will play when we open the music. Currently if you get an notification on Discord and you have it on your Opera GX sidebar, a red dot will show up. Perhaps we can make the icon grey (currently it's white by default in darkmode) when there are messages in unmuted channels, so I don't need to constantly check if there are new messages 🙂

This message is just a suggestion in regards to the adblock functionality since there are some web pages that don't allow adblocks in which, even after deactivating it, the web pages still detect it. This complicates downloads in other pages too (due to shorteners). Hopefully you'll listen to my suggestion, thank you very much.

Question: Is there a reason Battery Saver is on by default? I would presume that battery saver functionality would decrease performance (either by removing animations, using less intensive textures, or in some cases stopping certain background functions or whatever). In devices that aren't battery powered (e.g. desktop PCs) wouldn't we want to have Battery Saver disabled... couldn't that be done during install by parsing power input (Windows does this natively via Power task bar feature) and adjusting setting as needed?

I usually have my emails in pinned tabs on my browser. The workspaces are brilliant but it can lead me to go back and forth just to check my emails, if they was a way to have certain tabs shared between workspaces that would be really cool. Maybe an option for all pinned tabs to be available in all workspaces.

this makes it so the site you favorited gets the link in the speed dial updated as you acces another page of this site.
for example: i whatch an anime site, i favorited an anime on that site, then, i whatch the next episode but i dont end it and close the tab. when i open my speed dial i can click in the anime i favorited and it will open in the episode i stopped at and not the one o favorited.

then opera recognizes i stopped at this other episode and if i click the favorite in the speed dial and it will open in this last episode insted of the previous one.
so basicaly the link will upload itself and ill be able to always acces the last episode i was one.
the opera recognizes the "https:(.so its not a link)//www.crunchyroll.com/pt-br/(naruto-shippuden)/(episode-496)" anime (in ()) name and updates the link in the speed dial based on the episode number (in ()) independet of the rest of the link.
this feature can be used not only with anime sites but any other site that has an episode name and number in the link.

An option for "force dark mode". I love dark mode, but some websites are barely readable with dark mode. It would be nice if, whenever you opened a website, a prompt pops up asking for dark mode. If you click "yes" it would reload the page with forced dark mode. If you click "no" it wouldn't. Next to those would be a checkbox "Keep dark mode". Basically u check it and when u click "ok" or "yes" it will always make that website dark mode without prompting.

What I've also noticed was that dragging tabs back and forth to the top bar from a separate window is hard compared to other browsers, and I would prefer the snap detection sensitivity to be higher.

Another idea I had would be a built in task manager for Opera that you can manually control what you want to have active, as well as give specifics as to what is taking up some system resources. That way we know what is going on with GX in the background and have more flexibility.

The twitch side bar has a tiny number of how many of the streamers you follow are live, but I follow many streamers and there's only a small indication. I'm wondering if there's an option to get notifs for when someone goes live. Here's an a thought that's on my mind: More people in South America speak Spanish, it's mainly Brazil that speaks Portuguese, it it's REAL annoying when companies assume just because you're in South America, that they should auto set things to Portuguese/Brazil for you. Just food for thought there.

Thankfully I was able to go into the settings and change things how I wanted (the speeddail up news page specifically), so I'm very thankful for that addition.

Force Dark Mode

Before I start, I recognise that Force Dark Mode is still in Beta, but I'd like to propose a change, for a feature.

When searching for a query, for example: OperaGX, the listed results are indistinguishable from each-other.

For example, in Image 1, the hyperlinks are the same colours, making it impossible to recognise if the link has previously been clicked.

Looking at Image 2, default mode, the hyperlinks have distinguishable, different colours.

The change I propose, shown in Image 3, illustrates a difference between a previously clicked URL and a new one. The colour I used, is, #FF00FF, although I picked a random colour for demonstration purposes.

add the option to disable search engine keywords (like how adding "b" at the beginning of the search searches your query on bing)
really dont like it because if my query actually requires the first letter, theres no way to disable it and searching from a new tab with the keyword there searches the incorrect search engine and changes my results by removing the letter. for example, if i wanted to search "b words" using my default search engine, it instead searches bing with "words" being the query.

In Gx control have it so it auto enables hard limits when certain applications are open on my pc example if I open csgo it would detect csgo is open and what ever hard limits I have set it will enable and when I close the application it will disable the hard limits

A multitask idea I have is an functionality that allows you to have two or more workspaces open at once instead of having one overtake the other, with a click of a custom defined hotkey, or right click option as it would take up a portion of the screen for each workspace inside of one browser window. Alternatively, if there are two or more monitors available, we can custom define where we want the workspace to appear on either monitor. Activating it again would toggle off the workspace back to the main browser window.

Did a quick search to make sure before suggesting this, and it has been suggested before, but not in the past two months and it didn't look like anyone responded to the idea when it was brought up before, so I'll give my own proposal:
Custom mouse gestures
Specifically, my suggestion would be to create a "gesture builder" where you can design sequences of directions to move the mouse in, like "up, left, down", and then assign those sequences to literally any function that currently has a customizable shortcut. So you could bind any mouse gesture sequence to any keyboard shortcut.
Also, separately, I would absolutely love to unbind the close tab gesture, for god's sake. Gestures would be incredibly cool if it wasn't so easy to trigger them. 80% of my usage of gestures is just accidentally opening a tab and then quickly closing it, or accidentally closing a tab I didn't want to close.

reposting this concept from october 5. this has been an idea running on my mind ever since i installed opera gx on 2019.

i would really like to see the ability to add/upload custom images for speed dial links in the future, the only speed dial link options we have is the ability change the name and the url, so why not add a third option?

this will replace the usual url link text with a colored background and even already-existing speed dial link images with an image of preference.

On the GX Browser Sounds, I love the Typing sound, but i wish it was a bit more louder, and i have to turn up my computer volume which i don't like as it would be a hassle to do. Also the GX typing SOUND is on MAX but isn't as loud than I anticipated it to be.

Is there any way we can get the Better TTV emotes and FrankerFaceZ extension? Those emotes are very popular around twitch and chrome/edge are the only ones that offer it but if you add BTTV extension I would definitely use GX ALOT MORE!!!!! For people who use the sidebar a lot but doesn't like to have it there all the time would be really useful an option that when you put the cursor where the sidebar goes, the sidebar appears, but when you quit the cursor from there, the sidebar disappears. Hi two good additions would be:

A light theme (I know that lots of people does not like it but even for coding I find it better)
A similar system as Brave (if you can do it) granting BasicAttentionTokens from some announces you let go through (Seems hard to implement so it is only an anectotic feature)

Suggestions for picture in picture mode:

Single click on the picture in picture mode to select it.
After the picture in picture mode has been selected the arrow keys should work as media controls i.e. up and down arrow for volume up and down respectively, left and right arrow for seeking the video 5s forward and 5s backward respectively.
Option to change the seek time.
Double-click to play/pause video.
