How can we tell in the melting pot who is modding responsibly if its triggering the anticheat in the same way as a know cheat and also if there's a known 'this innocent mod gets you banned issue' every cheater is now suddenly banned by that innocent mod when they appeal. If you mod its responsible to wait and check following an update things are ok
We already have had people who were bannd weeks prior to this claim its due to this issue. Its not up to us to figure out who is cheating and who is not modding with personal responsibility to check there isnt an issue.

true, i respect that. It's quite a hard game to moderate, and people weren't told to mod. its kinda harder now that utilla properties are removed so moderators or other people with mods can't actually see who is modding fairly and who is cheating. I normally only play with mods inside of modded private lobbies, and i'm pretty sure you can read that data from the anticheat reports so hopefully im gonna be fine in a few hours when i know everything has cleared up. What sort of patches has the game added so i know exactly what to disable on the first? Apparently changing your name on both non-modded and modded computers was broken for a while now, so is that the only patch or is there another of the "performance patches" that break the zones that some mods use?

I know the moderators aren't responsible to fix all of the mods that break and ensure they work, as its all apart of making the game enjoyable for everyone, not probably keeping depracated code

do you mean the bit mod checkers looked at, thats been an untrusted thing for a whiole too asy to manipulate. It was only used by some of the mods here very early days and even then we only enforced things if they were being used. im my case the platform display was the most effecting anti cheat tool in that special mods.

the games core is under constant evolution, it was one man and lost of learning as he went creating it. the team and lemming are way past that now in experience, but the biggest slow down is affecting the live game its so much harder to change things when theres a few 100k playing daily

this is why the changes are incremental and likely to break mods more often

its also worth mentioning, at the same time the dev team grew so did moderation tools in the backend so we dont need to run a mod to fill a gap anymore.
