Gorilla tag has no progression system or stakes involved so the fact that a game that has 0 purpose in winning is this popular is impressive. Imagine how much bigger the game would be if there was actual reason to win. Like stats nexts to everyone’s name on the leaderboard (hours played, tags, wins, etc.) or even a system that makes people wanna grind. Like a new currency you can earn by getting tags or being the last monkey. Which can be used for cosmetics. (Ex. Hat costs 2000 shiny rocks OR 5,000 Points)

As a rec room game builder, I find that these types of systems have a tendency to make things more enjoyable
