They decided to start releasing cars only in an h2h. This limits the car to only 54 players worldwide. Personally I think it’s a terrible idea and should be changed. I realize that some of those 54 paid huge gold to get it, but many others only spent 500 gold or even zero to get the car. But Hutch doesn’t listen to us, so I assume this will continue.

I agree, I think they would make more by selling it to everyone, but the crazy amount of gold spent by a few must make up for it I guess. This game was designed for many thousands of players, so much if it doesn’t make sense anymore when we only have several hundred active players.

If it were truly built for thousands of players, that for the most part interact more w/the game directly than other players, then the designers wouldn’t be trying to apply scarcity to the equation (b/c that is relatively irrelevant, especially when you can simulate scarcity).

If there were 30 brackets of player competing for the Porsche then I think it makes a bit more sense. With only 6 brackets I don’t think it makes sense at all. The entire h2h system was designed assuming thousands of players. It works for the free daily D, but fails completely when only a few hundred players worldwide enter, as was the case for the Porsche.

Same with me. It was an auction, not a race to get the Porsche. My maximum bid was 2,000 gold. When the price exceeded that I was out. Unless you spend crazy amounts of money on this game, you have to maintain that price discipline and be happy with your play strategy.

Just to prove the above offer for keys would amount to fraudulent advertising…
100 bronze keys is $0.99, 100 silver keys is $4.99, so $5.98 from the shop.
Using the standard, not sale, price of gold we have 1100 gold for $9.99. Therefore, 799 gold would cost $7.26.

So the current advertisement in both an S and A ladder says 50% discount. Yet you can buy those keys for $5.98, but the gold the deal wants is 799 which costs $7.26. You are not in fact receiving a 50% discount but being intentionally and deceptively overcharged by 21.4%, so the deal is actually 121.4% of actual cost.

Agreed. If you look at the club points from last season, it is clear the top 11 clubs have majority spenders on their teams. The GT season created a great gulf between the teams that made it more evident who was willing to spend and who had more discretion.

As far as I know there is not a single part of this game that’s a test of skill, planning, grinding, or anything like that, it’s just money. I think we all know that, I’d just wish they’d leave some room in the game for f2p and lower spending players. Feels like they are intentionally squeezing them out, reducing club, pass, and h2h rewards hurts f2p and lower spending players. It has basically no effect on coiners, so the fact that they keep reducing rewards tells me they don’t want us to bother playing. But I’m stubborn, so me and my $10 a month are stuck here for awhile lol.

Hutch has confirmed that the deal of 100 bronze keys and 100 silver keys for 799 gold is not a mistake. They replaced the gold keys that are usually in that offer with bronze and kept the price the same.

I showed above how it’s mathematically impossible for 100 bronze keys and 100 silver keys to be worth 799 gold under any circumstances. Therefore they are deceiving you by advertising it as a 50% discount. Going forward everyone will want to check very carefully before they buy anything or take any offers in the game.

I'm not sure how many players are being affected, but I don't see a single !bugbot report about it in #🪲│bug-reporting 🤷‍♂️ I've tested the logic on two of my devices here (one iOS and one Android) and I only seeing the popup once. That means that my local save is being correctly updated. If you're seeing the popup more than once, then your local save isn't being correctly updated. The most common cause of that is not enough space available. That's not me trying to blame your device and not accept that it's our bug, that's just the most common cause!

Well f2p has become difficult now and to progress it takes lot of time . Before it was too easy hence it's now being balanced. But personally I believe f2p experience could've been slightly easier to what it is now.
Also f2p & p2p content should be separated to make things clearer and avoid disappointment imo.

Yes, completing the campaign is easy @violet elm ... But if you want to participate in clubs, that'll want you to have good amount of golds and other resources... Else you can't qualify for a Top20 team... You'll have to choose the events wisely so you don't waste your resources...

I don't spend on the game btw but I try to save the keys and golds for good events.

This game’s original campaign through the Tiers is one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I’ve played, and it only cost me $3 in real-life cash - for the cars that unlocked the Mini and Off-Road sections.

But, beyond that main campaign (and then Tracks and Laps)… there’s no game here at all. There are simply paid events, and they’re a fun novelty, but there are no long-term objectives, and the balance of resources is horribly designed.

It’s a startling contrast between this game’s original campaign and its kludged-together post-game.

The game is fun through winning the S tier car, but you have to put in the time to use a lot of gas everyday to progress. You don’t need to spend money to get the S tier car. After that most everything is about pay to play. This game is also 100% pay to win, everything everywhere can just be bought, so there is no actual competition for skill, planning, grinding, etc. So my advice is to play through wining the S car then decide if you want to keep playing.

What would players think, if the campaign at the start had been much longer, with multiple tracks (many more than those on offer) in each tier. With each track having multiple roads / tracks leading to the finish line. In addition it wasn’t just about coming first in the race, but also completing certain objectives in certain races. In addition there were multiple H2H events using more than one car in the H2H against other players ghosts. In addition the game didn’t cost a fortune, but rather the more you played and more races and events you won, you got rewarded with newer (Better) cars and upgrades. Let me know your thoughts?

Club 1 will have 200M points, club 20 will have 2M, and get almost the same rewards lol.

Wow the Rebel Pass truly is getting worse on all fronts. We have a few players keeping track of rewards that continue to be reduced each season and now I find out the Rebel Pass points to go up a tier have dramatically increased!

I get it’s a shorter season but Hutch reduced the rewards and time along with increasing how many points you have to obtain to complete the season and stills charges the same price. Amazing.

I fused my SCG, I like that car. The whole GT tier, in my humble opinion, is just stupid. The resources required, you have to max it to use augs, they are slow, etc. The entire tier GT is just a way to give coiners a place to throw money, there is no reason for anyone else to bother with it.

Fastest for picking your opponents, most recent for opponents picking you. But it doesn’t always work, there are some bugs in there where your ghost can get picked from an older time instead of most recent. Doesn’t happen a lot but can happen.

The entire h2h system is broken and should be redone. It encourages players to sandbag, not upgrade their cars, and not fuse them. It’s the exact opposite of a racing game. Furthermore it’s the number one reason new players quit the game. I’ve tried to tell them this for 9 months, they have no interest in fixing it I guess.

There’s a simple solution that addresses all the problems, but it would take Hutch making the decision to create a new and different h2h model. I don’t think they will do that unfortunately, we’ll just keep losing players every month.

The % model was thrown together in a hurry without much work or testing to fix the debacle in T&L, it was never meant or designed for non T&L. It’s not even good for T&L but it’s better than nothing currently. That’s why I want the % model for T&L, the old model for non T&L. It’s a couple minutes work on their part. They sandbag because the % model FORCES them to sandbag. Just another reason to fix what I’m asking.

The comments here about the algorithm and H2H matching assume Hutch can fix this. They cannot fix it. This is the best they can do. T&L destroyed the H2H matching because Hutch is mot smart enough to figure it out. There is a constant stream of complaints about this (all valid), but Hutch does not care because it is too difficult for them, and they keep making money. Quality is not important to them - that has been obvious from the beginning of this game.

Ummm, yeah they can fix it and that has been shown and proven. They have mentioned they are trying to find an algorithm that works for both T&L and non T&L. Instead, they should be implementing the two different matching algorithms for each one, T&L and non T&L (which they have already said they can do at the same time) while they work on a better solution overall. They have also mentioned the reason they have not gone back to the old matching system is not enough people have asked for it to be changed (which I find hard to believe after reading comments everyday regarding changing it back). The reason I think they haven’t changed it is they are worried it will not work properly. Especially during mini season, holidays and T&L season 3. They have tried to do too many seasons in a short space of time and not left enough downtime to change/modify a whole new matching algorithm. Hence why they have just left everything the way it is for now. I doubt we will see any meaningful changes until after next T&L season. If at all.

Another thing I’m thinking is, why upgrade a car at all? Just enter an h2h with the slowest car you have and keep buying tickets to score more points. If your times are slow enough, you’ll rarely get matched with people who are actually racing, so you won’t get docked points.

Yes, you can actually go into the game and see/play it: head-to-head competitions, where you race against others' previous races, in the same live event environment. Many people say this game does not have multiplayer but thats is incorrect, the game does have a type of multiplayer called asynchronous multiplayer. You do play against other people like you, just not at the same time. That would be impossible to implement in this game in the inmediate/short term...

By free play do you mean a track where you can race/practice alone without limits? Or play without spending real money?

It's best to hold back all the suggestions and complaints- let Hutch do whatever they think is right.

Rebel Racers community, unfortunately I am sharing with you a very sad news.
Our beloved friend and top player @brazen surge (AKA CruSteal, RebelRacer642535) passed away last Friday.
He was a 57 years old veteran who was fighting an injury (In a parachute accident) and illnesses, and was 100% disabled.
He was the light of our club (Race NY), very funny, GREAT attitude, AMAZING friend, and most of all very kind!
We certainly going to miss him, and will never forget him.

I always used to buy them, but now I have lots of GKs and low on gold, so Im not sure if its worth it. But if you need GKs and you do have some side- gold, its good (not that good as some h2h but at least is risk free).

In my case I have almost 3K GKs... And gold just 4K, Im.not sure if 200 more GKs justifies depleting half my gold.

It depends on the player’s situation. If you regularly buy gold keys in the shop, then that is not a bad deal because it’s better than shop prices. If you are f2p you would never do it because gold is so hard to get. For the rest it would depend on your gold to key inventory, if you have plenty of gold and need keys it might be worth it. Personally I skip it because it’s a bit overpriced for me.

If you play for free, you can only collect a 5-10-15 per day watching ads, plus getting in a good position in the club seasons, plus some free events (h2h) like the daily D or for new released cars. Also opening crates, Silver crates mainly (as Bronze only gives gold rarely, and Gold crates are harder to get than gold...). Other than that, you just have to buy it from the shop...

One of the mini events is stuck, go to the main map and click on all the events, then the mini map should fix itself.
